Residence visa extension
Hi QLers,
Was just wondering when is the right time to apply for wife's residence visa extension. Mine will be taken care of by my employer but my wife's visa needs to be taken care of by me as i'm her sponsor.
How many days before the expiration date should we file in for extension?We'll be going for holiday and we hope to be back 10 days before her residence runs out. Is that ok?
In the other countries(not Middle east/Gulf)where we've lived,we could file in forb residence visa extension a day or a week after the expiration.
All responses,contributions,advice will be highly appreciated.

Visit Visa Ext. ...Incase if any one who is here on visit visa, he/her should renew befor expire date or els he will pay the panality of 200 QR each day.
Visa acn be renew before one week or ASAP before expire

extension ...you can renew well in advance... i renewed my wifes in november when it was expiring in jan... she was leaving for a holiday and returning only after it had expired...
i think you get a grace period of a week after your rp expires to renew but you must be in the country for that...

Thank you, success, that was ...Thank you, success, that was a very good question! I know it has saved me the time and effort of running around to find the answer. I am glad to know it can be renewed well in advance. Not to muddy the issue or hijack the post, but when one renews one's RP do you need to have another medical?

My wife had gone for her fingerprint 15 days back but whenever I am going to Immigration for her RP stamping on the passport, authorities are saying finger print report has not come.
Can anyone please tell me where I can check the reason for delay?
