good day to all QLer's!
just want to know if anyone out there knows the number for PUERTO GALERA?? bcoz i need to check if the 'Filipino-Muslim' so-called owner still exist here in qatar...
anybody here been a victim of her illegal business transactions in her office just near Central Cafe? bcoz i was... she took 68K Riyals frm me with all her "sweet" promises about bznz partnership, visa and drivers license for my hubby...
i am holding a bounced cheque with an amount of 68,320 Riyals to be specific, been to the Police Office last October 07 but it seems that Law here in Qatar is as useless in the Phils. unitl now, nothing happened with my filed case against her.
any advice from fellow QLer's? maybe you hav emore brilliant ideas, i really do need all of it....

I think if you have an evidence such as the bounced check you can file a case in court. I think there is a legal service offered by our embassy.
Or you can try the POLO office at the back of CHN university (back of Hamad near Little Manila rest.)

victim ...My friend is one of her victim tsk tsk she offerred a qadama visa and now the person is here hindi pa natransfer inabot na sila ng 6k QAR penalty nasa kanya ang passport.

rtuanquin8777 ...for such issues, we cannot offer you any help except for a piece of advice. granting na-estafa ka ng tao, just make sure that the circumstances surrounding the transaction(s) you entered with her is legal. otherwise, baka pati ikaw ikulong. you know most of us here are not allowed to conduct business & the money you put forward is an evidence that can be used against you.
marami na ring pinoy ang na-involve sa ganyang kaso. malakas ang loob nila kasi bago pa sila mag umpisa ng raket nila, meron na silang "exit plan". alam nila kung paano nila lulusutan o tatakasan. especially that she's not working alone...
wag ka ng umasa sa police dito. it will take years before they will even hear your case. bumawi ka na lang sa ibang paraan... and next time, DO NOT TRUST YOUR MONEY WITH SUCH INDIVIDUALS. a background check will help before you do business with anyone.

napanood ko din sya sa ...napanood ko din sya sa balitang mid-east (if that's the same case), tapos nagsalita din ung asawa nya na local, willing daw sya harapin lahat ng naging biktima ng asawa basta pumunta lang daw sa office nya tapos tutulong din daw sya sa paglutas ng kaso kasi nagagalit na rin sya dahil nagagamit ang name nya. sad to say marami pala kayong biktima. try to communicate with POLO/OWWA para magkasama-sama kau lahat ng victims para maplano mabuti kung pano mapapabilis ang paglutas ng case nyo.

Anyway, I met the person at least 3 times when I was going there for lunch. And she was really bragging about her local husband and connections she has with Traffic Dept and MOI. She said she can easily help with driver's license, visa, etc.
When she showed me her fees it was then I had some doubts and did not deal with her.
Incidentally, we don't go for lunch there anymore - not because of her - but because of their service and price. You have to wait more than an hour to get your food.

overpricing ...i only eat there out of convenience being near to my friends place. but im not exactly a fan of their price & service. imagine a "binalot" meal for QR.45!!! well i could get a more decent meal from marriott for that price! at sus day, super tagal ng service! one time we ordered bulalo, malamig na at nag sebo ng i-serve sa amin.
siguro kung totoo na ma-raket ang may-ari, then we should stop patronizing her resto. who know's what kind of ingredients she's putting in your food... i mean, if you're into dirty tricks then what else is clean...

Driver's license victim ...Wow friend ko na biktima niya for driving lincense chuva.. She asked QAR 2 k pasado na daw yun instead of paying full course na 1800 yata or something tapos ang result bagsak kawawang inday. Maraming nagising sa balita kahapon pati asawa hmmm nagkukunwari ba siya or hindi mo rin maintidihan statement niya sorry po for my misjudgment pero parang ganon na rin. And kung asawa talaga niya yun of course siya ang sponsor so isang click lang sa MOI alam kung nag exit siya and he should know her whereabouts pati yung anak niya sa Central Cafe nakauwi na. Kawawa naman naging biktima niya muntik na rin ako kasi nga she offered a nanny visa but the price was very high that's why I rejected her offer.

sa ganang akin, kung pumatol ka sa ganyang corrput practices, you are bound to be in trouble sooner or later. kaya payo ko sa mga kababayan natin, do not patronize corruption para hindi kayo ma-corrupt! get the logic?

may 3 anak siya dito, isang bnatang lalaki, isang dalaga na nagbabantay ng Puerto at si ineng na bata pa at nag-aaral sa PSD...
i spoke to her before she wnt MIA... nagsorry sakin about sa kalokohan niya at nagpromise na magbabayad na daw siya sakin ng pa-10K per month hanggang sa mabalik ung pera ko... but sad to know, MIA na siya... i heard lots of rumors from her old 'sidekick' ,sabi may utang pa daw siya sa isang Arabo na gusto dw siya ipa-MIA... may utang pa daw siya sa isang British or American Guy na gusto din ipadeport buong family niya but i dont know what happend...
right now, ipinagdadasal ko nalang siya na sana harapin niya lahat ng kalokohan niya/-a-t-/bayaran ung mga taong kinawawa niya... i know God wont leave us empty handed, God has plans for all of us... alam kong d SIYA papayag na may na-aagrabyado sa mga anak NIYA dito sa mundo....

treysad is superduper ...treysad is superduper right, knowing ung ugali ng mga local, kayang kaya nila gawan ng prob ung mga expatriates na nanloko sa kanila so kung sya nga naman ang sponsor, pwedeng pwede nila ipa-hold un, unless naunahan sya, out of the country na ung tao b4 pa nagputukan ung mga ganitong balita. pag nasa pinas or other country na ung tao, medyo mahirap na sa kanya mahanap un, ang pwede na lang nya gawin is i-ban ung asawa nya dito sa qatar. ung american guy, nakaprocess na ata ung case nya. still working everything out with his lawyer para mapadali ung case. sana masolve pa ung case nyo.

we cant help but feel sad ...we cant help but feel sad for the victims of this lady, but we also have to realize that "walang manloloko kung walang magpapaloko". pasintabi po sa mga tatamaan but aside from those whose evidently victimized by estafa, most of our ordinary kabayans turned out to be visit visitors buying kadama visa for QR6-7k, not to include the processing of transfer of sponsorship (daw!) which ranges from 500-1k. panlagay (daw!) sa immigration. they gave their hard-earned money then find themselves faced with daily penalty because there was no transfer made. marami po ang lumapit sa OWWA thru Honorable Hector Cruz pero ano po ang magagawa ng gobyerno natin? sa totoo po "wala" dahil unang una sa lahat bawal po ang gumamit ng ibang visa kung iba ang trabaho natin. we should be under the sponsorship of our own employers.
bottomline is: lets just do what is right and follow the labor law of qatar. sana po lumapit na lang tayo sa mga legitimate agencies who can find decent and legal jobs for our relatives rather than getting the services of these kind of people who thrive on the hardships of other people.

so para sa mga nabiktima, pasensyahan na lang kasi kayo naman talaga ang may kasalanan. kung dinaan nyo sa legal, eh di mas may habol kayo.

Pinay troll, isang..... manloloko! ...mag-ingat din po kayo sa isang pinay na QLer din, nagbenta ng work visa "kunoh" sa kababayan nating si "nilann" na isa ding QLer.
Sa una, humingi siya ng 3k kay nilann as paunang bayad daw sa work visa, at kung lalabas daw ang visa may kulang pa na 3k + 2k na dagdag hinihingi niya sa mister ni nilann.
In short, ang binigay niya kay nilann ay tourist visa 28days lang, worth QR3,000 + Qr400(utang niya sa biktima)= QR3,400!!!
Kamahal namang tourist visa yan? sa travel agency Qr500/ lang. sa Airport Qr50/lang. Mag-ingat po kayo sa taong eto, at wag po kayo makuha sa mga matatamis niyang salita na kunyari tutulungan kayo. Hindi na rin siya makontak ni nilann, at umiiiwas na kung tawagan. Sa isang ordinaryong pinoy, malaking halaga na yung QR3,400.
Hmmm mare, isoli mo na ibang pera ni nilann, kausapin mo siya, kawawa naman yung tao pinangakohan mo ng work visa, may problema na nga siya niloko mo pa! Tigilan mo na rin mga kalokohan mo sa QL. Alam mong ikaw ang tinutukoy ko, kung mabasa mo eto sana makinig ka naman at tigilan mo na ang kalokohan mo at lalo na pagtotroll mo dahil reputasyon ng asawa mo ang nasisira kasi di bale na ikaw wala ka namang reputasyon kasi matagal ka nang walanghiya, kaya..... Magbago ka na!

Mga kabayan (countrymen) ...Maging maingat po tayo at huwag basta paloko. Nasa website po ng Qatar Government ang mga dapat bayaran.
At magtanong po muna tayo bago tayo maniwala at magbitaw ng pera.
(Let's be careful and not get duped. The Qatar e-government websites contain the fees to be paid. Ask those in the know first before giving away your hard earned money)

Though, they never met in person yet til this very day but they communicate through text messages according to the victim. Hindi ko lang alam kung may ginagamit siyang ibang names para magpost ng ads niya? I consider her troll kasi lagi siyang punotdulo ng mga gulo dito sa QL lalo na sa fil-expat group.

yeah,nagtiwala ako sa isang QL'ers din,nagbigay ako ng malaking halaga worth 3000QR,para saken malaki na yan,mahirap lang ako e ..promising na bibigyan nya ako ng work visa..me problema ako and she knew all of it...she promised me gagawin nya everything para makapunta ako ng QATAR..though di ko pa sya nakikilala in person nagtiwala ako..padala ako ng pera tru western,nasa akin pa yung resibo..ang tagal ko nag hintay..inabot ng halos 3 buwan..madami sya hingi na docs na hindi naman kelangan maybe to justify the reasons na wala ng kabuluhan..until lumabas ang visa ko na hindi naman working visa kundi tourist lang..valid for only 28 days not renewable...nangutang pa sya saken ng 400QR,so kung susumahin 3400 na pera ko sa kanya,actually thankful pa ako sa kanya kasi natulungan nya ako..pero ang tanong tulong ba talaga yung ginawa nya saken o sinamantala nya yung panahon na ambigat ng problema ko para di na ako makapag isip ng tama? tinuring ko syang tunay na kaibigan at ate..naniwala ako sa lahat ng sinasabi nya..sabi nya sa akin di daw sya papayag na maloko ako dahil naaawa daw sya sa akin...kung totoong me awa sya..asan yun?dahil lang ba sa pera papasira mo pagkatao mo?pera nahahanap yan..kinikita pero yung pagkatao na sisirain mo dahil sa konting halaga na makukulimbat mo sa kababayan mo maibabalik mo pa ba? she's really an angel in disguise..ang tamis magsalita..akala mo kakampi mo yung pala in the long run sya pala ang loloko sa iyo..i kept silent for so long dahil nirerespeto ko pa den pagkakaibigan namin na baka maawa kahit kalahati ng pera ko ibalik..dahil lagi ko pa den sya nitetext..nagmamakaawa ako na ibalik kahit konti sa pera ko pero walang reply...till one time natyempuhan ko na naka on yung sim card na ginagamit nya sa pakikipag usap saken..akala ko makakausap ko na sya ng maayos but to my surprise nag pretend syang hindi sya yun...dahil before that sabi nya sa akin nawala daw ang cellphone nya kaya wala syang cell di nya ako matatawagan sa email na lang daw nya ako kokontakin..i have all of her emails na nagsasabing babayaran na nya ako sa utang nya(400)..hanggang sa ugatin na ako kakahintay ni singkong duling alang naibigay...kesyo natakbuhan daw sya ng agent na pinaayos nya..pasalamat pa daw ako kasi nabigyan nya ako ng tourist visa,kesyo sasagutin daw ng mister nya yung tiket ko pero asan? kesyo sya pa daw napasama dahil sa pagtulong sa akin...pagtulong ba yon?lalo lang nya ako nilubog sa problema....me mga tao talaga na pagdating sa pera nasisira alam ko yun, pero di ko akalain na magagawa nya sa akin yun sa kabila ng mga problemang sinabi ko sa kanya...sana naman maawa sya sa akin..meron din syang pamilya..meron din syang anak....ayaw kong ipagdasal na sana makarma sya pero kung lagi ganito gagawin nya sadyang dadating ang karma sa kanya..
hindi ko muna sya papangalanan...iintayin ko ibalik kahit kalahati ng pera ko..baka makonsensya kahit konti..
