Moving from Kuwait

Dear All,

How are you all. I'm moving from Kuwait to Qatar next month.

Any experience in moving furniture?

Hi,

I had an experience of moving from Saudi to here, if you have valuable and good-conditioned furniture; I strongly advise you to send it over to Doha 1 day before you take off to Qatar. My advice here is to be in the customs when they clear it, it should be customs-free as it’s personal belongings, the clearance agents will pay if you are not there and then you have to pay later.

The truck takes around 15-20 hours from Kuwait to Doha, including customs clearance, depending on the driver.

On the other hand, the electrical appliances prices are not high in Qatar, it’s better to purchase from Qatar to benefit from the warrantee.

PM and I'll tell you about my experience shipping household goods from Kuwait in 2006. Be careful that the shipping company you use doesn't subcontract to another company, which is what happened in my case. The company in Kuwait City was fine, the packing was well done, pick-up was smooth, etc, but then they handed it over to another company that lost 2 of 17 boxes, much stuff broken, delivery people in Doha couldn't find the addresses, don't deliver at appointed times but show up at random and stack stuff on the street, etc, etc.

how are you i m egyption and i m in may way to movae to doha my offer they will get me first month hotel accmodation after this i preper my self to move to apartmen or sdio i need your advice about room rent how much it cost do any one have avilible space or room to rant it any information avilbil pleas urgent hope to send it by email and if u can add also my email to ur list
