It's a pity ...Egyptian government is covering up any sign of the strike in the media. BBC arabic reports that more than 200 activist have been captured in Cairo , Alexandria & other towns.
What's really pathetic, is that Egyptian government are interrupting people from rioting & striking over bread! yet they won't mind if it's done over a cartoon.

genesis..Not Just BBC on Egypt's Strike ...Aljazeera, Abu Dhabi, Alarabia...and more media channels covered the strike. Egypt was airing commercials!!!!
I think it is a good sign to start with Mahallah and other governorates such as Alex and Cairo. Muslim Brothers did not flare it up, only Kefaia. People's demands are very realistic. Many simple citizens said on TV they would take the streets over and again until their voice is heard.
It's not over by a long shot, more to come for sure, not through facebook and internet, but through syndicates…etc. My government will not be able to cover up for long. We're shaking off the rust and dust and wakening up to restore our civil rights, very basic ones to begin with. ِ
And no, the government didn't encourage demonstrations over the "Cartoon". And if it did, it wouldn't bother the cabinet anyway, but bread does, because their reputation is on the line. Well, in fact it's way under the dirty line already. Salaam

CNN’s Middle East Marketplace Report ...Coverage has been made by CNN on Egypt's strike. They showed the ordeal of people who are suffering from the steady rise of commodity prices with stagnant salaries.
The reporter said half of people of Egypt live on around 2 dollars a day! Also Jordan is suffering from staple food skyrocketing prices. In Yemen the wheat price doubled in no time.
Oh, well!! We’ve been investing in plenty of remote resorts (some are surely good for tourism and income, but enough is enough!) leaving people in the heart of Cairo and other governorates hungry! Shouldn’t Intra-Arab food security become priority?! I do think it is high time for that. And most certainly is very doable!
