We have alot of people from different places... lets see what your favourite holiday is shall we?
And no im not talking about summer hoilday or winter holiday nor weekends, im talking about eid, christmas, honica... etc..
Mine is christmas, I know I'm a muslim, but I love christmas since the time I was a little kid, we used to have alot of fun in London... Santa got me a car once 
So go on, tell us your story and which holiday do you like the most and why?

For me it is Canada day! ...Because it is a holiday for all, and we all celebrated it together regardless of religion or ethnicity or background....plus all the cool fireworks....and the weather is usually very nice that time of year.
That's the recurring one...and then of course there's the defacto and impromptu public holiday in Montreal that will result in half the city being hung over the next day and taking the day off any time the Habs win the stanley cup! Go Habs Go! LOL

unfortunately my husband ...unfortunately my husband cant get time off during Chrismast The Xonic. 7 Christmas in Qatar we only manage once for Christmas Holiday which was last Christmas.
for me any holiday is good as far as i am out of Qatar

Holiday Festivals ...For me two things mate, infact each holiday festival back home (India) brings with it something special, so choosing for one is quite tough...for example...
Holiday Festival called "Holi"...now thats something where you get washed down in different colours, Eggs, water balloons, all throughout the day, and before the SunSet you are in a different color...
Then there is this Navratri (9Nights)... where so many people get together and play something known as Gharba and Daandiya...and trust me, the ladies in that times are absolutely gorgeously dressed and the fun that you have with the music and the specific type of Dance is something that you cant afford to miss...
And now, the most exciting and important of all ... "Diwali - Festival of Lights", from sunet to sunrise, fire crackers, of all sizes and sounds from loud to small, of beautiful colors Light up the Skies of all the Houses...and that is something that you will not want to miss...
Was just talking about this last nite, India is a place full of holidays for various festivals...and it is absolutely Great to be from India...
And Thexonic, I really hope you meant Festival Holidays, otherwise the whole write-up will go waste buddy...:)

:D Christmas is soo much ...:D Christmas is soo much fun, soo much presents and all :D yaay... I even like Thanks giving. Eid is also amazing, cuz we get holidays, i havent seen eid holiday spirit as much as christmas. I mean people shop in eid for themselves, but in christmas they launch tons of new stuff and people buy presents for others. It's just too much joy in the air :D.

Well Swissmiss...RR ...Swissmiss: Well, it actually changes as well, I guess according to every year it moves a bit back or front on the calendar, but it always is mostly during Oct - Nov season...
RR: Hey buddy, doing fine meself, how bout you, and yes, regarding the festivals man, trust me there is just so much in India that neighbours, relatives etc etc keep travelling and vice versa...it all happens only in India mate...and yes truly inspiring as they seem to sound, so colorfully rich as they see, at the same time, pretty much a lot of fun time and at the same time, dangers dont evade much as safety comes last after all the fun and frolic, but still whatever happens, Time and Tide doesnt wait for anyone, so a bandage or a plaster or some medical assistance to the injured is served in the platter for them, and the rest continue to feast upon the rich and varied celebrations of all times and AT ALL TIMES...( wasnt that sch a lovely write up...LOL)

Ohhhhh :( ...my bad ... I lost a lot of my toys also but the only one that i really miss was a small Voltron that you can assemble again after putting it into pieces ... cinco de mayo ...In Texas its sort of a big deal but it still always sneaks up on you.
You never have the day off or anything like that but no matter how your day at work was, at some point you realize that it's Cinco de Mayo (May 5th, Mexican Independence Day , I think) and that soon enought you will be drinking beers or margaritas and eating mexican food with your friends!
I guess any excuse for doing that is good but its more fun when there is a "reason"

Spring Break or Carnival ...Spring Break its one of the best Holidays if you are in Daytona Beach or Cancun.
Carnival if you are in Rio de Janeiro. or the West Indies (Trinidad & Tobago).
Uhmm Mardi Gras its allowed too.
Am missing this year the Shogkram festival in Thailand :( I just read this year about it and I will go 10 days late...

Thexonic ...I was out of town only for the weekend :( back in Qatar for two weeks. and going to Thailand and Vietnam on the 22nd :)
Then Qatar again for like 2 months :( but Mamita Linda will be with me for 1.

Actually am a Christian. but my country main religion its Catholic. so we get all those days off. :)
