self defence

Hi everyone, I just wanted to introduce Tenshinkan Karate to people living in Qatar. Many people in South Africa, where I come from, have converted from other karate styles to ours, mainly is due to the style practicality and its large syllabus. Practitioners do not get bored with the same techniques or with just kata, but as you start you learn goshin jutsu (self defence based on aiki jutsu, joint locks and submissions, stripped of the nice movements of aikido) and you are able defend and counter attack, the system is strictly controlled from Japan (www.tenshinkan.com). It suits anybody, ladies and children included, its workout can be high intensity, for strength and fitness purposes. My wife is a purple belt and my daughter (11) is a pre-black, she'll grade for jnr. black in June at the international championship and "gashuku" in Scotland (Dundee).
I have been invited by a Shotokan dojo, here in Doha, to teach the different techniques and goshin jutsu, with the outcome that the "captain" has formally requested affiliation to Tenshinkan.
If any body is interested on learning this style I will be honoured to assist, just find a venue after 06:00 pm.
kind regards to all

Krav Maga ...hello boys,
I see that we already have a team to focus on some aspects of self-defense and from my side I would like to contribute with my Krav Maga skills. I'm blue belt of it and I think that we could mix some of our technics in one and call it, Qatara. well, it's an idea!?!?!
As I am STILL not in Qatar, I can't help you more than offering by advance, my skills, but I would like to offer for free, of course, Krav Maga and be student of others styles.
Krav Maga is very straighforward technique since we have only effective defenses. Krav Maga doesn't have attacks. Small fight excellent results. If you would like to read more about it, please, pick this link
