Finally I got ADSL! After waiting for 3months
At last !!!!! I got ADSL n Tele line connected at my home (just now) .... I can't tell you how happy we are !! yes we are very happy coz 3 months we were without Lanline and Internet at home .... for me it was bit easy since i got intenet access at work and also phone line !! but for my family it was really a painful period ... 
Thank you QTEL for keeping us on waiting list for 3months!!!
Also I would like to THANKS to all those people on QL for all their help in this regard.

Trancetip and speed, ...can't believe!!!! I got the landline transfered on the same day I applied and ADSL within next 8 days....really....
But when I was in Oman, they really don't have waiting list kinda thing. We got the landline after huge 6 months that too when we literally dragged that lineman fellow to our house.

speed the problem with ...speed the problem with your connection was there was no spare cable so qtel had to lay a new cable which is a long process as most of the work is done by contractors.

TCOM ...I know this problem ... the cable work was completed in 1st week of Feb08 before i moved to this house which i witnessed myself ... when i went to Qtel office in city center to apply for new tele/adsl connection .. they confirmed to me that eveything is OK and I will get the connection within 2 - 3 weeks time ! later when i inquired from 115 about appointment they told me that there is a fault in the cable which should be solved within a week and story went on like this for 3 months ?
But i really appericiate your help.
