Compensation and Wage
i am an engineer from the philippines and just recently been offered to work for a job in one of the major power plants in qatar. i am quite interested in joining the company because i heard a lot of good things about qatar but i am still thinking about how much should an engineer working as a supervisor should receive. i was offered QR9000 of basic salary and QR2000 transportation allowance. accomodation costs will be covered by the company for me and my family. can anyone pleasssse tell me if i am getting a good deal here or not? considering that i have 5 years of related experience as a supervisor in a power plant..

I don't know what ...I don't know what engineering jobs pay but that isn't a bad salary - basically you're looking at QR11,000 which is respectable. Things you should consider are:
1. It is tax-free
2. What are you earning currently? Dollar for dollar (less tax) is this more?
3. The company providing accomodation is a great bonus since rent's are out of control.
