New Doha Freecycle (TM) Group

I just wanted to let you all know that I have just started a Doha branch of The Freecycle Network (TM). Freecycle is a fast-growing worldwide movement whose basic premise is 'changing the world one gift at a time.' The idea is to keep useful things out of landfills by creating a forum where people in the community can offer things they no longer want. Conversely, members can also ask for things they do want.

I think Doha is an ideal place for this kind of thing because there is such a large, fluctuating expat community in which people are always coming and going and invariably need things when they arrive, then need to get rid of them when they're ready to leave.
