The Qatar Handbook
It seems a lot of people keep on asking the same questions when thinking of moving to Qatar : what is the driving like, where do I get furniture, what are typical rents, how do I get a mobile phone, what can I do on weekends etc.
So, how about we develop a Qatar Handbook? The idea is that first we come up with a structure something like:
Background
-Geography
-History
-Culture
Where to eat
What to do
Tourist Attractions
-Cornice
-Palm Tree Island
-Islamic Measum
How to
-...get a driving license
-...get a visa
These are just suggestions...what I am hoping is that everyone pitches in first to come up with the basic categories. I'll then create the "book" with these categories.
Then, anyone will be able to add a page to the book or edit information in it.
Please leave your suggestions as a comment below...

There is already a good book ...There is already a good book called "Marhaba", it talks about mostly everything in Qatar but not in-depth...
I would suggest you study it first so you can do something different and not repeat the same ideas.

"Marhaba" has plenty info on ..."Marhaba" has plenty info on all the points you listed. There is also "Qatar Happening" and a handy menu-style restaurant guide. As for the real estate, the situation changes all the time, and the best you could do is give links and numbers of real estate companies and agents.

I don't think it is ...I don't think it is available on the net Siddh. I'm sure if you asked Recruitment in QP that they would provide one.
