A new Ponderosa just opened out in the Industrial area, on Salwa. It is about four round-abouts out from Ramada Junction / Cholesterol Corner, and on the right as you head out of the city. You will see it just past a long row of low, glass buildings, up above the Pizza Hut.

It is a Ponderosa - it is supposed to be the biggest in Doha. While there are only 12 paved parking spots, there is a huge amount of empty rocky land where cars can also park and avoid all the congestion and traffic of the Ponderosa at Cholesterol Corner. They have a large buffet, and lots and lots of booths. I believe it is supposed to seat around 250 people.

I give the Ponderosa four stars because it delivers what it promises - a clean and varied buffet, a high standard of grilled entrees, quick service. It is not fine dining. It is what it is, and it does what it does to the expected standard.

The Ponderosa Buffet is the Ponderosa Buffet. It has some American salads, some Arabic salads, and a taco bar, and a dessert bar and a soft ice-cream machine. It was all very very clean and well presented.

When my steak came and I bit into it – it was truly amazing – medium rare! Do you know how hard it is to find a true medium-rare in this part of the world?

My husband said his fish was very lightly battered and very hot and fresh tasting.

Cleaner than the one in Ramada. Very good place THE FOOD LOOKS AND TASTE FRESHER THAN THE RAMADA BRANCH.

i did not like it at all, quantity not quality strategy,
food is not fresh, no attention to quality

in case if you are an asian, pl remember do not step inside this restaurant.Specially buffet you will have range of american dishes which not suitable for asian like india,lanka,pakistan.
