Restaurant Features:
- Good for kids
- Take-out
Directions: Just go behind Ramada Plaza and you won't miss it. It's between New Cars Center (Jaguar cars showroom) and Mashreq Bank.
Description:

The long wait will soon be over because Chowking is slated to open it's first branch in Doha. If everything pushes through as scheduled, they will be opening before the end of October 2009. The restaurant is located behind the new Ramada Plaza building between the Jaguar cars showroom and Mashreq bank. The place is not that big so it will surely be bursting with people on its opening. Parking might also be a problem unless you are willing to walk from either Ramada or The Center parking areas. Anyway, as long as they cook the food the way they do in Dubai, if not exactly the way they cook it in the Philippines, it will still be worth it provided the price is right. Enjoy it gals and guys and let me know if it is good so that I can visit it when I get back from my holiday in the Philippines.

I enjoyed eating at Chowking back in the Philippines. I like their pork dumplings and dimsum, ;p but most of all, the 'halo-halo', a cold dessert made of local ingredients (beans, rice crispies, banana, tapioca, purple yam and milk flan with lots of ice and milk served with ice cream on top)YUM! perfect for DOHA!

You are absolutely right, Aquagurl. Chowking halo-halo will surely be a hit here in Qatar kahit na lagpas na ang summer. Iba kasi ang halo-halo nila. Ang puwede lang na panlaban doon ay Razon's at Digman na pareho rin masarap.

Yehey! Halo-halo na! Lauriat plate din (sana meron din)! Yummy! I agree, if the food they serve here is as good as what they have back home, then it will be a hit. They are quite good for a fastfood outlet. Of course there will be no pork, and I hope it won't be too pricey knowing local food costs.

Discrimination against pinoys in Chowking

I was one of those pinoys that were ecstatic when chowking opened. Kaso nga lnag, i was really saddened by the fact that chowking discriminates against their chiefly pinoy patrons.

If you are an arab or caucasian dining in chowking chowking will serve you at your table. if you are pinoy, chowking will not do the same for you unless you book the private room upstairs!
