Tasty Bell

Thought I'd try the Tasty Bell delivery service from their restaurant located at the West Bay Petrol Station, Dafna.

It was truly awful. The delivery to West Bay took 2 hours from when the order was placed and the food was terrible. It was the worst meal I've had in Qatar by a big margin, but might even be the worst ever from anywhere in the world (a closer call).

As it was the first time getting food from there we tried a selection of dishes from their extensive menu (over 240 choices!). The "Singapore noodles" were made from instant noodles with bits of chicken sausage mixed in and an omelette on top which tasted really bad, the onion rings and chips were cold and soggy, the roti bread wasn't cooked and was still like dough, the sheesh kebab was burnt to nothing but charcoal, the "Spicy Zinker Burger" barely had any chicken in it (but did include some lettuce that had turned to green/brown mush - yum) and the "Naan bread" was a standard roti that had been stretched a bit (also wasn't cooked properly).

All had to be thrown in the bin.

The piece of carrot and the 3 olives that came with the burger were ok however and at least the cans of drink were almost cold.

When phoning up to enquire on where the delivery was (after an hour and a half of waiting) the phone operator was rude and unhelpful. I was informed it was "no problem - on the way" and they refused to provide me with an explanation fro the delay. I presume they must have walked to my apartment as it took a further 30minutes to arrive.

It says delivery 24hrs on their menu - this must mean how long to expect for delivery.

Very disappointed in all aspects; quality; service; and price.

Perhaps I picked a bad day, but the whole experience was so spectacularly awful, even a small improvement on this would still be terrible.

I recommend avoiding this place at all costs.
