Description:

I found out about this restaurant last night. It is a bit hard to locate because of its small signage. The small bakeshop turns out to be serving a genuine filipino bread recipes that we Filipinos will truly love.

That same night, a large portion of pandesal was handed to me by a friend. Just one bite and I was convinced with the soft, distinct sweet pandesal flavor was a real deal.

The Pandesal (Filipino Bread Roll) draws huge crowds for Bakery Arts Restaurant (BAR). At QR 1 per roll, the bread is very much the same bread Filipinos used to buy back home except that it is bigger in size and has a huge chunk of cheese inside the bread. You get your value's worth.

I have tried the ensaymada - monggo (QR 3, if I am not mistaken), and it is also good. Although, I have tasted better from Goldilocks.  They also have cassava which is very good. I forgot how much it costs but you should try it. And they also have brownies, which is moist enough however, when i ate it, I can still taste sugar grains in it.

It is quite an effort to drive from where I live to Bin Mahmoud just to get Pandesal, but it is worth it, most often than not, I don't mind. :) Although, if you have to drive a few minutes more, you should call the bakery first and confirm whether they still have pandesal for you when you arrive as they almost always ran out of pandesal batch and you may have to wait 30 minutes plus for another batch if you were not able to get ahold of the last batch of bread. The number to call is: 77091932

They also offer catering services (based on the tarpouline displayed inside the shop), but I have yet to try that.
