Chingari Ramada Hotel

I was not impressed with my visit here. The service was reasonable but the food was not what I would have expected from a supposedly 5-star establishment. IMHO there are better places to eat Indian food in Doha.

After dining here, i have appreciated Indian Cuisine. I enjoyed the new flavor, cozy ambiance and great service.

Very average. Most of the dishes I have eaten there have been dried and overcooked.

Very expensive for what you get. Prefer The Garden, The Bombay Balti or Spices to be honest!

As far as I can tell, there are two licensed Indian restaurants in Doha. This one, and the one in the Ramada Plaza. Both are expensive.

If you like a beer with your curry, this is the one to choose. The seating is low and uncomfortable, the menu never changes, but the food is good and the service efficient.

You can enjoy food with gazals. Food comparaively ok but environment seems good. So for any special ocasion you can visit but food taste seems ok..

I have visited this restaurant more than any other Indian eatery. One reason is they are licensed for serving liquor that many desire with their curries. Other reason it is still the best deal in high end Indian restaurants. The best value for money.

Service is consistently good, waiters offer you correct advice for order type and quantity. Complimentary starters getting refilled. Portions of grilled items are bigger than anywhere else in the same league. Curries would be disappointment to any Desi. It is a tandoori restaurant anycase so its strength is in the barbecue/grilled food. If group is larger than 4 people that Raan Chingari (baked whole leg of lamb) is highly recommended, needs 24 hours advance notice. Order mixed grill as for everyone, they adjust spices as per your likening. Choose curries from limited selection only to wipe the pallet. without alcohol ordered correctly the bill can be 80-100 riyals per person max. Less than many average restaurant outside starry hotels. Live music can sometime be loud but overall good experience.
Four starts for everything that's right one star not given because of disappointing curries.

We have eaten there recently.... the food was good, more then enough.

The only thing............IT WAS FREEZING COLD

and after asking many many times to turn of the AC or to make it less cold......... nothing changed.... it was freezing the whole evening. It made me really uncomfortable.

So if you decide to go there to eat, bring your moonboots (for warm feet and legs and a winter jacket, gloves and a hat.

Simply nothing great, people go there to drink mainly.

Not value for money, Starter with drink is lousy, Its not North Indian or South Indian. Management is confused in starters choice.

Seating arrangement is very uncomfortable, okay for drinking, but strictly No-No for food.

Food is just okay, if you want to enjoy food, find out something else.

Service is ok, Restaurant staff behave with too much of proud and Ego.

Overall 2/5 , Not justifying the price.

Its gone down in quality.While visiting Qatar, I used to stay at Ramada & Chingari used to be my favourate place but on recent visit I was very disappointed.The food's quality has gone down dramatically.Service was also pathetic.You can go to a normal Indian restra if you want to eat some good Indian food. Seems the cook is no longer from India but from Nepal so its not spicy at all & no tadka (It's a must with Indian dishes). Was absolute money & time waste !!!

I had taken a guest from four points seasons to Chingari by sharing all good previous experiences but evening ended in disappointment. Wake up Chingari.

IT IS A FANTASTIC RESTAURANT ,ONE OF THE BESTINDIAN RESTAURANT IN THIS REGION,THE ONLY RESTAURANT WHICH OFFERS LIVE INDIAN MUSIC,GENUINE TANDOORI FOOD.U MUST TRY THE SNAKE COFFEES /-a-t-/ A RESONABLE PRICE AND THE PRICES ARE AFFORTABLE FOR A MIDDLE CLASS PEOPLE,THANKS FOR THE RAMADA FOR THIS WONDERFUL RESTAURANT.

It is a bar rather than a restaurant!! Not suitable for families AT ALL...I can't evaluate the food or service though,as we couldn't stand there more than 3 minutes!Simply i didn't like the ambiance.i felt i was in a food court or shall i say drinking court!I had to give it a start to proceed with the saving process but actually in my humble opinion it is A (-*)if there was any minus

I had been there many times.Ambience is very good and comfortable seating for families with small children.not like typical chair system.\
prices r reasonable.
