Really simple and reasonable rates with Nice food... i like have veg meals from shalimar.

We really like the food in Shalimar Palace. We have tried couple of North Indian dishes veg & non-veg. It's tasty. The quantity is good as well. Staff is nice.

a good restaurent with good & rich food, price little high, but it deserves.
only thing i felt bad is its heavy decor inside, it looks like somebody was showing his all talents in interior decorations in that hall.

Really good and reasonable rates, especially kerala dishes.. i like both veg and nonveg meals from shalimar.

Worst ever food I have had in my life is here.
The management is only interested in making money nothing else.
We tried it not once but thrice and all three time we had the same harrowing experience.
It takes ver very long time even for small orders. Its better not to be written anything about the taste... as its very disgusting.

Visited once. Taste is very good but quantity is a bit less compared to Maza and Maharaja. Overall a standard one

I have never had such a food. Even i am a much much better cook. The food was DISASTER. When ever we decide of going out to eat my 6 years old son jumps and shouts " Daddy please no Shalimar, instead lets stay at home and eat some bread but no Shalimar please".....

Its a south indian restra but does not even serve Idli's even in spite of having it on their menue !!! Food is very average quality. Their management needs to visit few resta's...Swagath is good one to begin with.

not up to the mark, think twice before visiting , espcially north indian dishes are not at all tasty.

Eiiiiihhhh yuck !!! I dont' want to give rating but has to, to that so called PALACE...The waiters out there r very arrogant..I remember, long time back, they forgot to add salt in DOSA BATTER so obviously we had to return the whole dish to make it again..Instead of taking our orders, the waiters explained us that MALABARI DOSAs r made in this way..BULL[Mod Removed]...We felt like to slap them at that time but we didnt want to low our dignity..So for many people to whom i know, its a YUCK restuarant...Plzz dont go there...

Recently, the quality of food in this restaurent has come down drastically. I do not think that it is worth going there anymore for tasty food. Before I used to go there particularly for some non-veg dishes which were really great, but not so now. Ambience is good, but we can't satisfy our tastebuds with ambience....right?

Shalimar doesn have a good histroy.But things have changed. Recently I been there things are looking better.
Good place , serves excellent proper kerala style food,can say the best so far I had.True that getting the food on the table will take a little more time than it usually should.

Next time.
Try the Beef roast.Thats my fav .And there are good dishes not on the menu. "Mutton Varahtarachathu"

The rate are high as compared to the quantity they are serving.We had one chicken tandooring full for QR30/- but the size of the Chicken was like a pigeon.The taste was ok.I think the management should think over the quantity.
