I especially like BBQ. You will not find one like it anywhere else ans also forgot to mention the Mutton Kardai.

A very good and ecnomical place in terms of food quality and value for money, the parking in front is a problem but they have at back enterance.

This reminded me of Ravi or Karachi Darbar where not only Pakistanis but locals, Westerns all come to enjoy a great taste, the ravi was also awarded in time out magazine, during my last visit i also saw some western down there,

Teh chicken Karadi and BBQ is very nice and also try the Pakistani kulfi, which is icream over the stick in hot months it is a breeze, i will recommeond everybody to try once

Pakistanis love to visit this restaurant because it starkly reminds them of neighbourhood eateries back home. Same plastic chairs, white sheets on wobbly tables, melamine plates, waiters and supervisors loudly arguing with each other, sometimes pissed off staff not even bothering to attend you, dining hall under a roof always a statement of mediocrity at best, but almost always good food, just like back home.
My friends warned me against and thus I never ventured the buffet. A La Carte however is just perfect. Shezan does not have an elaborate menu, they are offering you what they do best. Any kind of barbecue is good, chapal kabab very delicious, Karahis, Biryanis the way they should be. Hot Nans perhaps the best bread in town. They do need to improve Haleem though, you can't do Haleem without overnight cooking, it taste of raw spices.
The decor, service, table cutlery, and building itself all appears to be stuck in 80's in Karachi. Two pitted olives on plate of green salad tells you no we are somewhere else. 3 stars for food and that's about it.

Food is perfect. 4 stars for only food.
Chicken Karahi is best .... even better than most of the good hotels in Pakistan.

do try the (Kat-a-Kat) & (Kulfi on a stick + Falooda {Pakistani Ice Cream Sundae Float}).
The seating area really really needs to get updated or even changed & rearranged...

Caution: A place where you go only & unless you actually want to eat. I can go on & on about the bad encounters I had in this place while waiting for my food (that also includes insects), but the fact is, this place serves food like nothing else & I mean it. B.B.que is so good, the mutton chomps are so good that I actually ended up eating 12+ of these. Ignore the ambience, the dirt, the crowd, the furniture, even the forks! Ignore the stains on your shirt use your hands & you'll know what I'm talking about.

I have been there a number of times and always liked the food....especially the BBQ. Comments from almost everyone here about the ambiance, crockery & cutlery, quality of service, parking and blah blah blah are TRUE. Same is the case with even the rooms which needs to be renovated. They really need to improve their quality of service. 4 stars to the food.

Rest of the food is so-so.
Buffet at lunch is mediocre.
Eid iftar is terrible.

Lamp chops are excellent.
All BBQ is good.
Roghni nan is very good.
Karhai is good, but very very oily.

Most of the food has too much garam masala.

Well, I happened to go to Shezan Restaurant this month. I was very excited but all my hopes were down when i saw the extremely poor service by the waiters and the staff. After we were seated in the lawn for food no one attended to our dirty table for more than 20 mins or so. Finally there was 1 waiter who was running around and taking orders. Other people were also restless like us. The ambiance is good but very poorly managed. The dirty chairs, the unhygienic wash rooms the cats running around were a total turn down. The biriyani we ordered had no masala and was only colored rice. The chicken kadahi was good but had lots of oil in it. The good thing about the place is that they packed our left over very well and with a little effort they can change the place to a very nice restaurant..

I love Doha in part because of its magnificent food.   Eat at Sheezan, sit on plastic chairs, and you could be transported to Pakistan.  But, the chops are the best in the world.  I'm not exaggerating.

The atmosphere is not the best.  But who cares.

Order the chops with naan, and end with the Kulfi, which is authentic.  The chops are so marvelous that each person ate 4-6 - and at 15 riyals for 2 thick, heavenly chops this is great value indeed.

Enjoy !

Shezans Restaurant is the worst restaurant I have ever been to.

The food was OK but while we were nearly finishing our dinner I found a COCKROACH flying around and went under the table I was eating.

I could never imagine a cockroach anywhere in a restaurant.

I hope someone from the food monitoring agency in qatar reads this and have a look at what is going on in this restaurant.

The tables are very very old  and wobbly covered with a white cloth. The ambiance was disgusting. So people just to save a few bucks please never go to this restaurant. If I found a cockroach in the dining area just think about the kitchen.

NEVER EVER GO TO SHEZANS RESTAURANT
