Doha Montessori & British School, which opened in October 1997, currently has classes from Pre-School to Year 9 by 2010 the school will offer classes to year 12. The Primary and Secondary classes follow a British style educational programme using the National Curriculum of England and Wales, whilst the Pre-School classes follow a modified Montessori syllabus for early years.The School is a multi-national educational institution catering for children from over 45 countries around the world. At DMBS we offer a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum which is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales. The school builds on this and offers Arabic and French to our students. There is a strong emphasis and English and Mathematics from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 3.Maths, Science, English and ICT form the “Core” subjects of the curriculum, and adequate time is allocated to these subjects: History, Geography, P.E., Design Technology and Art, and Music, are for all students to participate in.
