Update: The start time is 6:30am and the cut off time is 12 noon. There will be water stations every 2km on the route. 

Expect traffic and/or diversions in this area before, during and after the marathon.

Registration costs: 

1km - QR50

10km - QR150

1/2 - QR200

Get ready to run the Ooredoo Marathon in 2014 - see if you have what it takes to complete the course and raise money for a good cause!

The Ooredoo Marathon will take place on 10 January 2014 – so get your running shoes on and start training now! 

You have the chance to take part in a full marathon, half marathon or a 10 km route.

There is also got a children’s 1km fun run – so they can dress up, join in and get fit!

All funds raised through entry fees will be donated to a range of worthy causes, Ooredoo says.

Ooredoo is supporting a huge range of sporting activities in 2014, with loads of events, games and contests for you to join.

What registration! none talk about it, just participate on the proposed date and time that is all I think.

The website prompts you to register, and then log in, before it will tell you how much the cost is to run in the marathon.

The Ooredoo website says that it is a fundraiser, so the price shouldn't be too high. Maybe 100-200 riyals?

Has anyone registered and can give us an idea of the price?
