10 000 child prostitutes in Jo'Burg
By britexpat on Fri, 20/11/2009 - 10:07amCame accross this article.... Worth reading..
The World Cup is around the corner and this could be a major revenue stream for the pimps :O(
Pretoria - There are about 10 000 child prostitutes in Johannesburg alone, a group concerned with child abuse said on Wednesday.
Bloemfontein, meanwhile, is one of the biggest focal points of syndicates as far as trafficking in children for sex and drug trading are concerned.
A founding member of Sapsac, a body investigating child abuse, Retha Meintjes, who is also the deputy director of public prosecution, says even though similar figures are not available for other cities, all the available information indicates that the situation in Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth are “equally grave”.
When you ask "Why me?"
By cerebrojho26 on Thu, 19/11/2009 - 2:56pmSomething worth sharing to you guys.
Have u ever found yourself asking the question " Why does God allow bad things to happen to good people?" This is a question I have been questioned numerous times from people in pain and suffering from transistions and uncertainty of LIFE. Faced with working abroad, loss of loved ones, hurt from struggling relationship, the longing for HOME, the seperation from children and endless hours of work can often leave people bewildered, confused or angry in the state of grief. In those times when PAIN seems to have no end and you find yourself in a sense of helplessness, I encourage you to HOLD ON to your FAITH.

Chowking! Grand opening Nov. 18, 2009
By pranzer on Thu, 19/11/2009 - 9:59amYesterday was the opening of Chowking near Ramada Plaza. Who went there yesterday? How's the food please share?
I am looking into sponsoring a housemaid. What are my obligations to her (besides accommodation, food, salary)? Am I required to pay any medical bills? Will I be held responsible for any criminal acts that she may carry out? I do not wish to take on an onerous relationship. Any comments welcome.

By kumaran_63 on Sun, 15/11/2009 - 3:28pmWhat killed Ranjan Das and Lessons for Corporate India
A month ago, many of us heard about the sad demise of Ranjan Das from Bandra, Mumbai. Ranjan, just 42 years of age, was the CEO of SAP-Indian Subcontinent, the youngest CEO of an MNC in India. He was very active in sports, was a fitness freak and a marathon runner. It was common to see him run on Bandra's Carter Road. Just after Diwali, on 21st Oct, he returned home from his gym after a workout, collapsed with a massive heart attack and died. He is survived by his wife and two very young kids.
I am alone in my flat,I am going to start cooking because to quit hotel food. Please tell me 2 or 3 easy curry item to prepare.

Fishing
By texpaul on Sat, 14/11/2009 - 10:48pmWe are planning for fishing, in the coming weekends, for food and to enjoy doing it. We wish to build an 8-foot skiff enough to carry 120kgs of load and 300-m longline kit plus crab traps. We will make it sure we’ll be maximum 1.0meter deep whatever the tide is. We would like to know the following;
a) Is this allowed here?
b) Do we need a permit?
b) Where to find the concerned authority and what are the requirements.
Wish someone could help us on this inquiry. It is the only hobby we know how to forget the pressures of work.
Thank you.
