What a disappointment!

Yesterday night at around 8:30, there was a match between Rompe Redes F.C. and the College of the North Atlantic in the latter's campus. The fact that the CoNA's team was hosting a football match seemed like a wonderful moment since it was providing a medium to show everyone that football (soccer to others) was still a gentleman's game.

What a disappointment!

All the Eng v/sBr Football match Attendees...

All the Football match Attendees...or arm chair attendees....and armchair critics .....who had attended/watched the friendly match between England & Brazil:

Q. What would you do different at the stadium if you were organizing the match?

What are your inputs....so that next time you will have a better experience.

The criticism should be positive.

Villagio Fusball Competion

I hope the 8 grown men who cheated to beat the team of 7 kids and win the final of the Villagio Fusball competition yesterday are very proud of themselves! It transpires also that the ref used to play football with the same men and disallowed four of the kids goals. I hope you too are very proud. Spineless and pathetic, all for a couple of free VIP tickets to the football today.... BIG MEN, HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!

England football team PR

In an effort to get the threads concerning this game up to 90, I'll add mine. Not only is the country (England)in a mess, it would seem that the protacol machines wheels are in danger of falling off as well as far as the footie team is concerned!! Who the hell do these no marks think they are???

Women why must you talk during the game????

Women... I love you... But why must you talk or ask questions during a sporting event. Whether it be football, hockey, basketball, rugby, or tennis. There are plenty of opportunities during the day to express your feelings, but why do most wait until we are entranced in a dreamlike state of athletic euphoria? When you know, when and if, we respond to you it will be an "uh huh", "ok", "yeah", "right", or a multiple other single-syllable answers that we men have coined over the years. Please for your sake, our sake, and the sake of the next World Cup...women please wait until halftime or commercial break to express your feelings. Trust me, it will help you in your relationships.

Women's Football

Hi everyone,
I recently moved to Doha and was disappointed to not find any women's teams for football (soccer). I saw that there was a Qatar Women's Football Association here on QatarLiving, but no reply from them regarding if a female league exists. Any idea if there's a team I can join? If not, is anyone interested to start playing regularly?

Bad publicity for Serena and Qatar tennis

Qatar's top sports officials are doing their best to promote the country as a top event sports hub, particularly for football, tennis, athletics, golf and motorsport. However, the local print media in Doha is trying its best to spoil the country's name as well as reputations of top international players who come here participate.

Consider the title given in the sports page of one of the newspapers today (Monday, October 26, 2009). "Naked ambition...." this work is in extremely poor taste. It is an attempt to tarnish Serena Williams' reputation and in directly criticise Qatar Tennis Federation for bringing here such players.
