Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra on 28 March

The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) will perform on March 28 at the Aspire Hall (Ladies Club) in the Aspire Complex. The guest conductor will be Nader Abbassi, who has appeared with QPO on several occasions.

This Saturday’s programme that will begin at 7.30pm will feature a solo performance by QPO’s own violinist and concertmaster, Anton Teslia, a Russian who spent a year in the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra in Germany and has been a soloist with major orchestras in Europe and Russia.

The first half of the programme will present Symphony No 4 in A major (known as the Italian) by Felix Mendelssohn (1809-1847), a German composer, pianist, organist and conductor of the early Romantic period.
