Pinas after 2 years

Recently umuwi kami for vacation ng pamilya ko. Dun kami nag Pasko at New Year sa Pinas. Marami din ako napansin na pagbabago after 2 years naming nawala sa Pinas:

4. Dati tambayan ko ang Makati lalo na ang Ayala Malls. Pero ngayon naligaw ako sa dami ng kabit-kabit na Mall from SM supermarket (na ACE Hardware na) to GB 5.

My Mother Marie-Antoinette Attiyeh writes :

One month after the appalling incident in front of the Lebanese school,

Marie-Antoinette Attieh, the mother of little Dana Walid Sakr writes:

My daughter crossed to eternal life

The incident

Sunday October 18th 2009 started like any other normal school day, I went to school to pick up my son CHADI (7 years), and my daughter DANA (5 years), and our neighbor’s daughter (3 years). And as on any normal school day, I walked with the two girls to meet CHADI and walk altogether to the school exit.

A friend stopped me on the way to tell me that DANA’s face was illuminated by a strange light, which pushed him to tease her on the face before we went out.

FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY..!!!

In Florida , an atheist created a casen against the upcoming Easter and Passover Holy days.

He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring,"Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kip Pur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."

Are vacations meant for kids or parents/teach

Many Indian schools here took winter vacations before actual winter started to join eid with christmas. They started vacations from eid instead of Christmas to help parents of all enjoy eid and christmas. But my kids now finding it very difficult to wake up for school. They simply hate going to school. What are your comments?

Best place to live?

We are arriving in early March. Have visited Doha just before Christmas. We are British/Australian in our 50's and VERY young at heart. Both professionals. Our rental budget is 20,000-25,000. Apparently The Pearl is the best address and Westbay. My husbands office is near The Ramada. I shall be writing. As I saw, there is a lot of money in these areas and possibly no heart. I want to meet 'real' people who read, discuss, drink coffee and wine. Also, just don't know whether to bring furniture or not. Company will pay for everything. I have a baby grand piano and some antiques. Should I store them or bring them? OR just walk into a furnished villa/appartment?
