H1N1 is totally different from a normal cold or flu.
1) Rapid onset. You become very ill with 3-6 hours of feeling the first slight discomfort. This thing hits like an express train.
2) High Fever: Fever as in both sweating & ( for 60%) cold chills that shiver & shake you. My temperature went to 102.2 for nearly two nights & a day.
3) For most people there is no runny stuffy nose or any type of mucous discharge. For many people there can be a dry non-productive cough ( which still does spread the disease ). I had no cough or cold-like symptoms at all!
4)A sore throat is not commonly present & wasn't for me.

Although the name 'swine flu' brings up a lot of extra fear and worry, it is important to note that swine flu is just an influenza A H1N1 virus. The big difference is that the current swine influenza A (H1N1) virus has components of pig and bird influenza viruses in it, so that humans don't have any immunity to it. How flu spreads
