iphone from USA

My friend from USA is coming over for a visit, I am planning to ask her to take iphone from US.I am quite aware that it needs to be unlocked..will it work here if i will take it to some shops to have it jailbroken?what about unlocking it?i am confused..guidance please...thank you..

Hi

I just wanted to inform you all that never use DHL to ship your goods specially from UK to Qatar. They just lost my Iphone 16gb 3gs which cost me around 3000 riyals to get it shipped from there. Apparently some of their own guys stole it and they claim that they lost it in the transit. Now how come a package that can be traced online be lost just like that?

Furthermore they are not going to give you anything back other than the shipping charges plus a 100 dollars which does not even constitute a third of my total cost.

Therefore I advise you all to use any other courier service other than DHL, because if you are getting expensive packages shipped, they are most probably gonna intentionally loose them and then give you just a 100 dollars back.

looking for a place in qatar to fix my iphone 3g my iphone has the home button and the power button not working and maybe the screen too because when i plug the charger nothing appear and the little up the volume buttons dont work looking for a place to fix it

Worm attack bites at Apple iPhone

The worm changes the wallpaper of the phone
The first worm to infect the Apple iPhone has been discovered spreading "in the wild" in Australia.

The self-propagating program changes the phone's wallpaper to a picture of 80s singer Rick Astley with the message "ikee is never going to give you up".

The worm, known as ikee, only affects "jail-broken" phones, where a user has removed Apple's protection mechanisms to allow the phone to run any software.

Experts say the worm is not harmful but more malicious variants could follow.

"The creator of the worm has released full source code of the four existing variants of this worm," wrote Mikko Hypponen of security firm F-secure.

Heading to Houston on direct QA flight, next week, wondering what's the experience like for those who went before?

I had taken a return direct from Washington last year and it was good experience as manage to get some sleep.

also any latest gadgets etc to bring? Is getting iphone worth or it does not matter any more. Thanks,
