Russia's Putin in India to sign arms deals
By nomansland on Fri, 12/03/2010 - 2:00pmRussian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin was to seal a series of multi-billion dollar arms deals on Friday during a visit to India aimed at boosting ties with Moscow's old Cold War ally.
Other deals include a contract to sell India 29 MiG fighter jets and an agreement to install additional nuclear power units in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, where it is already building two reactors.
Together with Brazil and China, Russia and India are part of the so-called BRIC grouping of major developing economies seeking to promote a multipolar world economy not dominated by the United States
Proud To Be INDIAN

INDIA has been called Bharat even in Satya yuga ( Golden Age )
More INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT India
The name `India’ is derived from the River Indus, the valleys around which were the home of the early settlers. The Aryan worshippers referred to the river Indus as the Sindhu.
The Persian invaders converted it into Hindu. The name `Hindustan’ combines Sindhu and Hindu and thus refers to the land of the Hindus.
The number system was invented by India. Aryabhatta was the scientist who invented the digit zero.
Sanskrit is considered as the mother of all higher languages. This is because it is the most precise, and therefore suitable language for computer software. ( a report in Forbes magazine, July 1987 ).
Food traditions runs deep in Qatar
By OfMyHeartShape on Thu, 21/01/2010 - 8:59amBy Marie Doezema

DOHA, Qatar - This is a place of glitz and glitter, grit and grime. A city where Lamborghinis travel the same streets as rickety school buses filled with day laborers; where champagne and caviar are just as much a part of the culinary landscape as roadside tea stalls.

Most Disguting Eating Records!!!
By starfaith25 on Tue, 21/07/2009 - 6:18pmFound it somewhere...
If you think those people who are forced to eat gross stuff on shows like Survivor and Fear Factor are brave, get a load of these men and women who not only stuffed the most disgusting things into their mouths, but have done so in record-setting fashion.
1. Most Raw Kidneys Eaten
Alice Caldwell of Butte, Montana, ate more than 14 pounds of raw veal and lamb kidneys on Oct 22, 1991.
2. Most Cow Brains Eaten in 15 Minutes
On February 12, 2002, Takeru Kobayashi wolfed down a total of 57 cow brains with a total weight of 17.7 pounds within 15 minutes. That's enough mad cow disease to last him two lifetimes.
3. Most Earthworms Eaten in 30 Seconds
Imagine a plateful of spaghetti with each single noodle squirming. That's what two-hundred live earthworms, each measuring at least four inches long, probably looked like when they were swallowed by India's C. Manoharan within 30 seconds. Manoharan, nicknamed "Snake Manu" for the "snake flossing" trick shown in the above photo, set this record on November 15, 2003 at Chennai City, Tamil Nadu, India.
4. Most Cockroaches Eaten In One Minute
“It’s like having an anesthetic at the back of the throat”. That's how Ken Edwards of Glossop, Derbyshire, England describes what he feels every time he munches on cockroaches. He must have awfully numb then when he ate 36 cockroaches in one minute on the set of The Big Breakfast, London, England on March 5, 2001.
5. Most S*m*n Swallowed
Almost 2 pints of s*m*n were pumped out of Michelle Monaghan's stomach in July 1991. A hell of a gang bang it must have been.
Now, what's for dinner?
Just Think about it !!!
By t_coffee_or_me on Sun, 10/05/2009 - 7:30pmA Qatari visited India and came back to Qatar Where he met his Indian friend who asked him How did u find my Country The Qatari said it is a great country With solid ancient history And immensely rich with natural resources. The Indian friend then asked. How did u find Indians??
Indians??
Who Indians??
I didn't find or met a single Indian there in India.
What nonsense??
Who else could u met in India then??
The Qatari said...
In Kashmir I met a Kashmiri
In Punjab a Panjabi
In Bihar, Maharastra, Rajasthan, Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala,Bihari, Marathi, Marwadi, Bengali, Tamilian, Malayali
Then i met
A Hindu,
A Muslim,
A Christian,
A Jain,
A Buddhist
And many many many more But not a single Indian did i meet
Think how serious this joke is..

165 million outcasts unchanged by democracy
By Harry99 on Sat, 11/04/2009 - 12:30pmSad state of affairs..
Rolling up the sleeve of his grubby cream shirt, Ananda Joshi shows off a deep scar, 3in long and 1in wide, where he was stabbed by an angry mob in this south Indian town last year.
His crime? The 47-year-old electrician’s assistant is an Untouchable, or Dalit, and he had used a public lavatory in an area inhabited by members of the higher levels of the Hindu caste system.
No one has been arrested, let alone convicted, nor does Mr Joshi expect them to be.
Such injustice is routine for India’s 165 million Dalits – who are considered beneath the lowest caste, and so unclean that they have traditionally been forbidden to visit Hindu temples or draw water from the same wells as higher castes.
