Obama defends abuse photos U-turn

The release of more photos of prisoner abuse by US soldiers is "of no benefit" and may inflame opinion against the US, President Barack Obama has said.

The pictures were not "sensational" and every case of abuse had been dealt with by the military, with action taken where appropriate, he said.

The White House previously said it would not fight a court ruling ordering the release of the pictures.

US civil liberties activists accused Mr Obama of adopting Bush-era policies.

The pictures were due to be released by 28 May, according to the court order.

Fake Miracles

The original video was a documentary that exposes frauds who use tricks to deceive the poor. It was aired on BBC and other major networks, the author of the documentary explains in detail how he understands these are tricks. I also did not change the name of anything, I gave it a descriptive title and admit it is part of a documentary in the description. You should try educating yourself before you make accusations and insult the intelligence of someone who has done their research.

Why British Are Rude

http://news.bbc.co.u...

Tamanna Rahman spent two months living on a Bristol housing estate for the BBC's Panorama programme Undercover: Hate on the Doorstep.

Here she explains her reasons for agreeing to take part in the programme and describes how it felt to be a daily target of racist abuse, both physical and verbal. Her report contains details of racial abuse.

In 2000, as a 16-year-old at my culturally and racially diverse Manchester secondary school, I was asked by a local television news team examining the hopes and aspirations of the first class of the new millennium if I felt that racism in Britain was a thing of the past.

Fresh-faced, naïve and optimistic, I answered yes; racism is dead.

Democracy is not for everyone

http://www.iq2oz.com...

The title of the debate was very much thought provoking while I was "browsing" the TV channels more or less 3 hours ago, this was aired on BBC. I thought it was Doha Debates on a different setting but it wasn't. It was very interesting to listen to the arguments presented by the speakers from the For and Against teams and at the end of all their arguments, one will really look for a very satisfying answer to the question, Is democracy not for everyone?

well what do you think?

SOLVED: Watch LIVE UK / US TV (BBC ITV C4)

Hi All,

I just signed up for this VPN service that allows you to "appear" to be located in the UK (or US or Canada) and hence you can then access all the 'On demand' UK TV programmes via their UK websites (i.e. BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, Channel4 on demand) and it works brilliantly.

What sort of people!!!!!!!

I actually have no words to say.....I cant construct a coherent sentence.

"As sectarian violence declines in Iraq and the security situation improves, Iraqis face a new threat to a peaceful life: violent crime.

Baghdad has been hit by a spate of kidnappings, mostly targeting children.

Police say that, while some gangs are motivated simply by money, they believe insurgent groups are increasingly using criminal activities to finance themselves, as the security forces cut off other lines of funding."
