One Algerian Supporter Killed in Cairo

I knew from the beginning that all this stupid effervescence on this stupid game was going to end badly...
I won't blame my egyptians brothers and generalize as I know that like in Algeria, you'll find sick, really sick people everywhere.

Now algerian supporters heading to Sudan for the Next Wednesday match are asking for retaliation, and I know them, blood will be spilled.Again.
Again innocent people from both sides will the pay the revenge price.

Shame on you journalists from both sides, somebody lost his life because of your sick minds!!!
Shame on you,Cairo's police: in Algeria 14 policemen have been injured while protecting egyptian contractors with their families from angry supporters after the sad stoning of the algerian team bus before the match.

SHAME ON YOU!

Egypt cleric 'to ban full veils'

Egypt's highest Muslim authority has said he will issue a religious edict against the growing trend for full women's veils, known as the niqab.
Sheikh Mohamed Tantawi, dean of al-Azhar university, called full-face veiling a custom that has nothing to do with the Islamic faith.
Although most Muslim women in Egypt wear the Islamic headscarf, increasing numbers are adopting the niqab as well.
The practice is widely associated with more radical trends of Islam.
The niqab question reportedly arose when Sheikh Tantawi was visiting a girls' school in Cairo at the weekend and asked one of the students to remove her niqab.

LOL,from Cairo to Newyork

A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N1613B performing DL-85 from Cairo (Egypt) to New York JFK,NY (USA) with 227 passengers, was just about to leave Egyptian airspace, when the crew received information a passenger had received a box from a friend just before departure without knowing the contents of the box.

The crew decided to return to Cairo, where the airplane landed safely one hour after takeoff.

The examination of the box on the ground revealed, that it contained birthday cookies.

The airplane subsequently took off again however without the passenger receiving the box and 9 others who chose to stay on the ground.

The airplane reached New York with a delay of 3 hours.

It's gonna rain good films soon!

The Doha Tribeca Film Festival is going to be uber fun.

I attended their ceremony at the Museum of Islamic Arts to announce the names of films that’ll be showcased over three days (October 29 to November 1). It was a wonderful occasion.

DTFF 1

I was getting onto the top floor of the MIA building for the first time. The place was aptly decorated and the excitement was palpable. Excited banter gave way to dead silence as the MCs took centre stage.
