Page 7 Peninsular - Lies and more lies
By exiledsaint on Thu, 08/10/2009 - 12:12pmThe first article carries so many inaccurate facts and outright lies it is no wonder that people of different religions end up hating each other.
How the Peninsular can carry articles that inspire hatred is journalism of the lowest kind.
Here are just some of the inaccuracies
1. 1917 British Govt issued Balfour declaration declaring Palestine to be a home to the Jews.
No the govt never issued that and the declaration that Balfour issued only talks about sympathy for the Jewish clause. Go read it if you don't believe me.
2. 1918. Britain and its Arab allies defeat the ottomans and immediately start emigrating European Jews to Palestine.

Qatar - The Political Perspective
By FriedUnicorn on Thu, 01/10/2009 - 2:40pmAll of us who are originally from here or have made Qatar our second home get very little information related to it's political dynamics. I, for one, have been trying to find a few good sources of information specially related to the issues of foreign intrests. Found this one informed.
The Qataris have made the generation leap under their new Emir, Shaikh Hamad, with the political situation having stabilised. As a result, Qatar is one of the most attractive countries for foreign investors in the Middle East, with the state's decision making mechanism having improved.
However, Qatar embraces many contradictions. The emirate hoists several different flags, which together describe the bizarre combination of its policies:

Egypt anger over virginity faking
By Exotic girl 2 on Mon, 28/09/2009 - 9:30pmEgypt govement very stupid.... these peoples more silly. who cares for virgin.... only weak mans is scare for this
A leading Egyptian scholar has demanded that people caught importing a female virginity-faking device into the country should face the death penalty.
Abdul Mouti Bayoumi said supplying the item was akin to spreading vice in society, a crime punishable by death in Islamic Sharia law.
The device is said to release liquid imitating blood, allowing a female to feign virginity on her wedding night.
There is a stigma about pre-marital sex in some conservative Arab societies.
The contraption is seen as a cheap and simple alternative to hymen repair surgery, which is carried out in secret by some clinics in the Middle East.
