Qtel has announced unlimited ‘free local calls’ for a month with all ‘Shahry Value Packs’ as part of the first anniversary of the ‘monthly’ service.
As a bonus, customers of the advanced Shahry 300 and 575 Value Packs will also get ‘unlimited free Internet’ use on their phone for the same period.
The local calls can be made to any Qtel number – both fixed and mobile, until March 10.
This is the first time Qtel is offering unlimited free talk for Shahry Value Pack customers.
“Supported by Qatar’s most reliable network, customers are guaranteed clear lines and no dropped-calls,” Qtel said.
There are ‘no time limits’ on the length of each call, and customers can call as many different Qtel lines as they wish during the promotion period.

The swine flu grounded me for a few days. I got out of house arrest just the other day. It’s such a pleasant feeling to breathe Doha’s fresh air (at least at five in the morning) again…

G'day all,

My wife and I are relocating to Doha in July; my company has offered to temporary place us in a 1br FF Serviced Apartment for 2 months, to give us time to find our permanent home.

My company is proposing to place us in either:
* Le Mirage Executive Residence - bearable
* Le Mirage Suites - tiny shoebox room!

Apart from these two, can anyone recommend anything else?
If you can advise or has connection to a better place (that has free internet and Showtime TV), I'd love to hear more from you.
