Mayawati again presented a garland of currency notes

Lucknow: In a show of defiance ignoring all criticism, BSP chief and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today got herself garlanded with currency notes said to be of the value of Rs 18 lakh.

The garland comprising notes of various denominations was put around her neck at a meeting of party leaders despite
an opposition outcry over her being presented a similar garland of value estimated between Rs 21 lakh and Rs 15 crore
at a massive rally here on Monday.

'Wherever she goes, she will henceforth be greeted with garland of notes and not with garland of flowers,' state
PWD Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui told reporters after the meeting.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Hi Friends

Three weeks back we went to Pizza Hut near Airport next of Asiana Restaurant and one Bangladeshi boy happened to stop us all of a sudden near the parking (it was around 9:30 pm) and begged us to buy the small perfume bottle (something like Oudh) saying he has no money to eat and is surviving by selling the perfumes. And we gave him QR. 15/-. He told us to smell and take any one, but we just took one without taking the smell (though the kids wanted to smell, we didn't open to smell it).

As we don't like the smell of the perfume, we just kept in the car (now at home) and thought of giving it to one of the labourers in Lancy's office.

Any sustainability courses from Qatar?

Hello QL!
I was wondering if anyone here could guide me find some course related to sustainability/design. I don’t think there’s anything relevant here in Qatar so I am looking for some online course, something that’s got value. I am an Architect with a Masters in Architectural Design and a LEED AP. My present job is too technical for me, and I desperately need to work my brain, and that’s the primary reason for me to want to do something else. I may leave my current job soon, and want to do something as I look for a new job (visa not a problem for me for a year).

So in short, I am looking for a short course that’s either creative or can strengthen my skills in terms of sustainable design. Any ideas?

Pakistani Schools--- Please Advise!

I have recently moved to Doha with my family. I was thinking about enrolling my children in a Pakistani school where they would be able to learn Urdu and learn about Pakistan. Many people have advised me against it as they think that Pakistani schools don't provide quality education.
I would like to know your opinion on this matter.
Salam

Dear Friends,

An incident took place in Pune - a young girl was attacked by a man posing as a Plain Clothes Police Officer;he
asked her to come to the police station when she and her male friend didn't have a driver's license to show..
He sent the boy off to get his license and asked the girl to accompany him to the police station. Took her instead
to an isolated area where the horrendous crime was committed.
