The Supreme Council of Information and Communication Technology (ictQATAR) partners with Gartner to deliver an executive technology briefing that will detail how businesses can build successful IT strategies. The event will take place on Wednesday, 30 September 2009 at the W Hotel from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

"Gartner, the world's leading information technology research and advisory company, is delighted to partner with ictQATAR on this briefing. IT strategy creation has always been a high priority for CIOs and our keynote speaker, Dave Aron, Vice President of Gartner's CIO research team, is a true thought leader in this space,"" said Myles Bird, Regional Director, Gartner Gulf.

The Doha Tribeca Film Festival (DTFF) has announced the launch of a campaign to introduce home screening throughout Qatar, by providing residents with a kit to assist them in hosting their own DTFF screening sessions.
The festival is set to take place from October 29 until November 1, and will include screening of some 30 films as well as other community events, with the festivities to be centred around the Museum of Islamic Art.
Officials have stressed their plans to make an impact on the local community and to help create a ‘culture of film’ both in Qatar and the rest of the region. To this end, they have been hosting a number of workshops to train potential filmmakers.

Big Chief Eagle Eye, my Canon EOS 400D camera, came into my life on an unexpected note. A miscommunication with my cousin brother led BCEE to my doorstep. Despite my not-so-happy financial situation at the time, I knew that it wouldn’t be a wasted investment. I’m glad I’m right.
