To All NRI's

Dear NRI's,
We all know that importing a car from GCC to India is a costly subject since Indian government is levying hefty taxes which make it impossible for a common man.
Taking into consideration that Indian cars are plying in Doha ( like Mahindra Scorpio), and we as Indians happen to use these cars here, and after we leave this country , Indian government should allow us to import these used cars without any taxes.
This makes sense since we are using Indian cars here and taking them back to continue using there.
All NRI’s please throw your thoughts on this.

MF Husain conferred Qatar nationality!

India's most celebrated artist MF Husain has been offered Qatar nationality, according to a report in The Hindu.

The report said that Husain was “Honoured by Qatar nationality” but deeply saddened by his enforced exile and the need now to give up the citizenship of the land of his birth, which he has lovingly and secularly celebrated in his art covering a period of over seven decades.

Indian government does not allow dual citizenship, therefore, Husain will have to give up his Indian passport if he decides to take up Qatar citizenship.

The report also said that Husain did not apply for Qatar nationality and that it was conferred upon him at the instance of the modernising emirate’s ruling family.

India funding Taliban fighters

India funding Taliban fighters

Pakistan's interior minister Rehman Malik not only claimed on Monday that India was funding the Taliban fighters who were wreaking havoc in Pakistan, but also added he was ready to confront the Indian government with the evidence.

?I?m convinced about it, he told a television news channel. There are elements which do not want Pakistan to be stable. Asked if India was among them he said, Of course.

He reiterated India was also instigating Pakistan?s troubles in Balochistan. A number of Pakistani commentators agreed with Malik. There are more Indians in Afghanistan than foreigners from any other country, said Fozia Saeed, well-known academic. It makes me feel there may be more than meets the eye.

Indian going soft on gays!

After a few of the European countries have decriminalized same sex marriage, it is now the turn for the Indian Government to decide whether gays and lesbians can proudly proclaim their sexual orientation.
Some are even going to such an extent as saying that its true secularism and Gandhi's dream being realized and it's in line with the thinking of Pt. Nehru who believed in the brotherhood and equality of all men and woman irrespective of religion, caste, creed and sex!
And that the rights of all minorities should always be upheld in India.
I agree with the fact that people do not choose their sexual preference. It's inherent. It's like left handedness. You can train a left hander to use his right hand but given a chance he still would use his left hand.
Opinions please?
