Redefining Innovation
By ict QATAR on Thu, 22/10/2009 - 11:05amThomas Edison didn't invent the light bulb. In fact, his patent application for it was rejected because it was too similar to a patent filed 30 years earlier. But Thomas Edison was an innovator and he recognized that innovation only mattered if an idea was adopted and created true change.
By finding away to make the light bulb something that could easily be integrated into daily living and accepted by normal people, Edison created enormous change in the way we live. So what are the lessons we can take from this when it comes to innovation in terms of energy efficiency?

Massage Therapy
By ikkunm4u on Sun, 18/10/2009 - 8:21amMassage is one of the oldest, simplest forms of therapy and is a system of stroking, pressing and kneading different areas of the body to relieve pain, relax, stimulate, and tone the body.Massage does much more than create a pleasant sensation on the skin, it also works on the soft tissues(the muscles, tendons, and ligaments) to improve muscle tone.Although it largely affects those muscles just under the skin, its benefits may also reach the deeper layers of muscle and possibly even the organs themselves.Massage also stimulates blood circulation and assists the lymphatic system (which runs parallel to the circulatory system), improving the elimination of waste throughout the body.
Some Benefits Of Massage:
1.Relaxing.
2.Soothing.
3.Healing.
4.Reassuring.
I'm sick & tired
By Bahraini83 on Tue, 13/10/2009 - 9:13amAre you feeling tired. How often do you drag yourself out of bed to go to
work, or to go do an errand. How many things are on your to-do-list but
you just never get to do them because you're tired or because you can't
be bothered.
If your energy is pulling you down and stopping you from doing all the
things you want to do in life, then you're not alone. Do you how many
people are like that? Millions. They postpone and postpone the stuff
they need to do because they're just too tired, sleepy, slow, 'feeling down',
'can't be bothered', or even 'would rather sleep'.
Do you ever stop and say:
I'M SICK AND TIRED OF ALWAYS BEING SICK AND TIRED!
If your energy has failed you, then think about this: if you improve
Every Storm Will End - from Bo Sanchez
By hawker on Mon, 12/10/2009 - 2:05pmgot this from my email, thought of sharing it to the group :)
Did you suffer a loss recently?
A job? A relationship? Material things stolen from you?
Many of my friends lost many things in the recent flood.
My friends lost homes. My friends lost businesses. With tears, my auntie said, “Bo, I lost all the material things I’ve collected over the past 50 years of my life!” Some friends told me that what was most painful was loosing all their photographs—the memories of a lifetime.
Friend, I’ve got a message for you today: Believe that every storm will end. And after the storm, a new morning begins.
Remember that every loss is temporary.
Paying Bribes is OK in some circumstances????
By exiledsaint on Fri, 02/10/2009 - 1:41pmBritain regrets its hands are somewhat dirty
The Vietnamese wife of a friend visited the British Consulate in Hong Kong to get a visa to visit the UK. She handed over her application form with a big wedge of cash. On being informed that Her Majesty’s officials do not take bribes, she smiled and handed over an even bigger wedge of cash.
You will be delighted to know that the even bigger wedge was declined. Hang, who grew up in a one-party state riddled with corruption, still can not fathom why the civil servant would turn down the money. I felt a shiver of patriotism, and wanted to meet the official and give him a brief, very British handshake.
Reminder to ALL members and non-members of this Group
By treysdad on Thu, 01/10/2009 - 12:05pmI believe I have to step in because all my appeals have so far been ignored.
There have been a lot of hijacking and personal attacks and comments have been ranging from provocative to obscene. THIS IS NOT WHAT THIS GROUP IS ABOUT.
This is my last appeal. PLEASE STOP STIRRING ISSUES and PLEASE STOP RESPONDING TO TROLLS OR MEMBERS STIRRING ISSUES UNRELATED TO THE TOPIC!
Any continued violation of the QL Community and/or Filex Group guidelines will not be tolerated. Userid will be blocked without warning and comments or the whole thread will be deleted.
We have a whole nation that is suffering and under another threat of a super typhoon. They need our help and we are wasting our energy (and company time) on useless ego trip.
