SustainableQatar would like to invite you to the monthly meeting held on Monday, November 9, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Friends for the Environment Centre to promote environmental awareness and action within the community. Everyone conscious of and concerned about environmental matters in Qatar is welcome and encouraged to come. Please tell others, bring a neighbor and carpool if possible.

Program Topics:

- "Qatar Green Awards" by Vani Saraswathi, Managing Editor Oryx Advertising Company

- 2 Green Award Recipients will introduce their projects

DOHA: The Friends of American School of Doha (ASD) will commence its Chamber Music Series for 2009 and 2010 with ‘A Concise History of American Music’ concert later this month at the ASD Fine Arts Theater.

Welcome back to a year of interesting topics, discussions, exchange of ideas, and dialog about environmental matters in Doha!

SustainableQatar would like to extend a warm welcome to all for an exciting series of events planned for 2009/2010.

We will host our first monthly meeting of the 2009 on Monday, October 5, 2009 at 6:30 pm at the Friends for the Environment Centre to promote environmental awareness and action within the community.

Representatives of the Volleyball Officiating Club pose after the meeting at the ASD Gym. The stage is set for the 1st Invitational Volleyball Tournament, dubbed ‘Hataw Na’, which will start on September 3.
DOHA: The stage is set for the 1st Invitational Volleyball Tournament, dubbed ‘Hataw Na’. The event will start on September 3, the Volleyball Officiating Club (VOC) has announced.

The tournament which had been in hiatus for the last three years was revived after VOC meeting attended by team managers, team coaches and team coordinators on Monday at the ASD Gym.

QL Mums May Coffee Meet

This will be our last gathering before everyone going away for their summer holiday. Some ladies prefer to do it before American School of Doha last day of school (11 th of June).

When : Wednesday, 10th of June 2009
Where : Columbus Cafe, next to virgin bookstore, Villagio
Time : 9.30am - 11.30am

As usual you can bring any friends who are new in town. This gathering is a perfect way to get connected with others in Doha.

See you on the 2nd week of June. For those who cant make it, hope you all have a nice summer break and see you in September.

34th AMIS Festival at ASD

Yesterday another QL'er notfromhere invited me to attend 'The 34 AMIS International Honor Band and Choir Festival Concert'. This year hosted by American School of Doha. Attended by over 35 International Schools and American Schools from around the world.
