Something you might dont know about US
By Tarsiers on Sun, 22/11/2009 - 10:22amDo you remember the days when US and many other European Countries Attacked Iraq for the sake of getting Saddam Hussain and his fellow government officials?
Do you remember when CNN, BBC and many News TV Channel mentioned that Universities, Museums, Ministries, Banks..etc were attacked, stolen and then burned by Iraqi thiefs and gangs?
Do you know that the US Army was the only one who has done that?
Do you think that I am telling my opinion only? I have the proves and evidences.

Detained members of an Al Qaeda-linked group planned to attack Kuwait's Shuaiba oil refinery during the holy month of Ramadan, a security official said on Wednesday.
The group was targeting the 200,000 barrels per day refinery and the state security building, as well as a US army camp, daily newspaper Al-Anbaa reported earlier, citing unidentified sources it said were familiar with the investigation.

A Qatari spending $10M a year on drag racing
By OfMyHeartShape on Wed, 29/04/2009 - 6:51pm22-year-old sheik spending $10M a year to become the Yankees of drag racing?

There are a number of parallels with an all-American tale of racing fan turned team owner: Man loves drag racing since boyhood, comes from a region crazy for the sport, started off in racing's little league, and races to win even in the big leagues. Yet the differences are enough to inform us that this is a Yankees tale, not an Oakland A's tale: the team owner in question is Qatari native Sheik Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani, all of 22 years old, with a bank account that would make Croesus blush.
kabayans,
ako po nagwowork sa US Army in Logistic department.
US Army offers safety tips on bike riding
By jackmohan2007 on Sun, 22/03/2009 - 9:19amUS Army offers safety tips on bike riding

The US Armed Forces service members, stationed at Camp As Sayliyah, imparted motorcycle safety training during the just concluded 25th GCC Traffic Week in Doha.
It marked the first time US Armed Forces were involved in the annual safety activities organised by the National Campaign for Road Accident Prevention in Qatar.
A Honda Safe Motorcyclist Awareness and Recognition Trainer (SMARTrainer) system, purchased by US Army Central for installations in the Middle East, was on show.
?It’s an honour to showcase our latest technology at an important safety event for the local community,? US Army?s Area Support Group Qatar commander Col David G Cotter said.
Troops Attend Qatar Camel Races
By tallg on Mon, 23/02/2009 - 9:53amI thought this was a good read. The information about the camel racing is interesting, plus it's a nice insight into the sort of things the troops get up to during their R&R leave. (For those of you who don't know, the US base in Qatar is used as a destination for troops operating in the region, and they often receive passes to go out and about in Qatar.)
Troops Attend Qatar Camel Races

“I didn’t know camels could run so fast!” said U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Melanie Haynes, from Del City, Okla., during a camel race in Al Shahaniyah, Qatar, Feb. 21. “It’s amazing they don’t need a lure to keep them running. I didn’t know camels could be trained to race.”
Haynes and U.S. Army Maj. Isaac Peay, from Cassatt, S.C., were participating in the U.S. Central Command rest and recuperation pass program in Qatar, a Gulf state located along the eastern coastline of the Arabian Peninsula. During their four-day pass from duty in Iraq, U.S. Army Master Sgt. Gregory Lewis-Seals, from Dewitt, N.Y., sponsored them to leave the U.S. military installation and witness a popular local past time: camel racing.
US military develops anti-aircraft laser
By britexpat on Mon, 09/02/2009 - 2:12pmI want one for my Pink KIA to take on the Land Cruisers...
The Laser Avenger which is capable of shooting down aircraft with its high-powered energy beam Photo: BARCROFT The Laser Avenger successfully shot down a series of unmanned aerial vehicles during recent tests and is being hailed as a revolutionary weapon for future warfare.
The experiment was the first time that a ground vehicle has used a laser to destroy moving aircraft and marks a watershed moment in the development of lasers for battlefield use.
Invented by Boeing, the laser is fitted to a Humvee off-road vehicle, allowing it to be moved into the most remote locations to shoot down enemy planes.
