Chronic deficit spending since President Arroyo rose to power in 2001 is the main reason why the national debt ballooned to P4.2 trillion, from just around P2.2 billion eight years ago, a former budget chief said Friday.

"The major source of the ballooning debt of the country, from P2.2 trillion to P4.2 trillion, is the yearly deficit under the Arroyo administration. Too much spending; we're talking of P200 billion to P300 billion deficits," former budget secretary Benjamin Diokno told ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda.

Diokno, former President Joseph Estrada's budget chief, said he expects the government to incur a P250 to P300 billion deficit this year and another P200 billion in 2010.

Hello!
I am X ,widow of the late business man X who was a victim of the attack of unidentified armed men who are loyalist of president Arroyo 28 july 2007. Until his death he was a human right activist and an active member of the Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) group
I inherited a total sum of $6.5 million dollars from my late husband as a result of the supply of agricultural chemicals. This money which is concealled in a metallic trunk box is conveyed from the Philippines through a diplomatic mission and deposited with a SECURITY COMPANY in the ivory coast under a secret arrangement as a family treasure. This is the reason i am contacting you - to help me claim the fund.

Arroyo announces 'NARS' for unemployed nurses

The government has launched an employment program to address the growing number of unemployed nurses in the Philippines especially amid the ongoing economic crisis.

President Arroyo announced during her speech in the Multi-Sectoral Jobs Summit at the Heroes Hall in Malacañang the launch of the Nurses Assigned in Rural Areas (NARS) program.

"We are launching NARS, or nurses assigned in rural areas... They shall be mobilized in their home towns. They shall also serve as roving nurses for rural schools," said Mrs. Arroyo.

The program plans to give qualified nurses job and training experience by fielding them to rural areas short of medical personnel.

REUNIFICATION,. posible! cyempre dahil Pinoy

There was a magical reconciliation happened in the burial of Dona Mary Ejercito. It’s true. Former buddies turned enemies Chavit Singson and Joseph Estrada did kiss and make up at the wake of Doña Mary Ejercito. It took a person’s death to reconcile the two of them. When President Arroyo heard this, she told the First Gentleman, I want to reconcile with my countrymen... can you make a sacrifice?

Rumors say when Loi Ejercito bumped into Laarni Enriquez at the wake, the former senator told her, “Ako, legal wife,” to which Laarni replied, “Ako, maganda. Period.”
