RESIGNATION!!!!!!
By Sami_26 on Thu, 19/11/2009 - 3:28pmOFFICIAL ADULT RESIGNATION
I am hereby officially tendering
my resignation as an adult. I have
decided I would like to accept the
responsibilities of an
8 year-old again.
I want to go to McDonald's and think
that it's a four star restaurant.
I want to sail sticks across a fresh mud
puddle and make a sidewalk with rocks.
I want to think M&Ms are better than
money because you can eat them.
I want to lie under a big oak tree and
run a lemonade stand with my friends on
a hot summer's day.
I want to return to a time when life was
simple; When all you knew were colors,
multiplication tables, and nursery
rhymes, but that didn't bother you,
because you didn't know what you
didn't know and you didn't care.
Breakfast at McDonald's
By svelte_saggi on Wed, 11/11/2009 - 9:27amFound this in my email today morning...thought i'll share the smile with QL :-)
=========================================================
I am a mother of three (ages 14, 12, 3) and have recently completed my college degree.
The last class I had to take was Sociology.
The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with.
Her last project of the term was called, 'Smile.'
The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions.
I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway. So, I thought this would be a piece of cake,
Literally.
LEFT OVER ONIONS ARE POISONOUS
By chadqa on Mon, 26/10/2009 - 3:22pmShare ko lang ang info na ito sa mga Qler's ko.
may nag forward lang po sakin sa email.
I have used an onion which has been left in the fridge, and sometimes I don't use a whole one at one time, so save the other half for later.
Now with this info, I have changed my mind....will buy smaller onions in the future.
I had the wonderful privilege of touring Mullins Food Products, Makers of mayonnaise. Mullins is huge, and is owned by 11 brothers and sisters in the Mullins family. My friend, Jeanne, is the CEO.
Questions about food poisoning came up, and I wanted to share what I learned from a chemist.
McDonald's at the Louvre?
By janeyjaney on Mon, 05/10/2009 - 11:04amEven if McDonald's claim that France is their biggest market outside US, would you eat in McDonald's at the Louvre? Why? Or Why not? Do you think McDonald's is capable of producing gastronomic delights in par with the cafes and small restaurants in the area?
My son is asking if we can have McDonald's for Iftar today. Does anyone know what time they open (Airport Road or The Mall) and start serving?
Thanks!

Idiot Sighting

IDIOT SIGHTING:
We had to have the garage door repaired.
The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener.
I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower.
He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.'
I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4.
He said, 'NO, it's not.'
Four is larger than two.' We haven't used Sears repair since.
IDIOT SIGHTING:
My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill.
Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter.
She said, 'you gave me too much money.'

New Pandemic - new flu
By a.k.a on Mon, 22/06/2009 - 3:21pmI suffer from this quite often, I knew it was a real disease!!
I went to a dinner party last night, where I, and other guests, enjoyed copious amounts of alcohol. I awoke this morning not feeling well, with what could be described as flu-like symptoms; headache, nausea, chills, sore eyes, etc.
From the results of some initial testing, I have unfortunately tested positive for what experts are now calling Wine Flu. This debilitating condition is very serious- and it appears this is not an isolated case. Reports are flooding in from all around the neighbourhood of others diagnosed with Wine Flu.
What happened to McDonald's BigMac??
By newkidontheblock on Tue, 28/04/2009 - 12:43pmBigMac became SmallMac. WTF! LOL :D
I can finish this in 2 munch.
Before it was really big, as far as i remember it. Maybe it's big back in my country. But the Large Soda and Large Fries here are way bigger than the serving in my country.
A Bitter Reality

WRITTEN BY AN INDIAN SOFTWARE ENGINEER..
A Bitter Reality
As the dream of most parents I had acquired a degree in
Software Engineering and joined a company based in USA, the
land of braves and opportunity. When I arrived in the USA , it
was as if a dream had come true..
Here at last I was in the place where I want to be. I decided I
would be staying in this country for about Five years in which
time I would have earned enough money to settle down in India .
My father was a government employee and after his retirement,
the only asset he could acquire was a decent one bedroom flat.
I wanted to do some thing more than him. I started feeling
homesick and lonely as the time passed. I used to call home and
