Jarir Bookstore
Does anyone know where I can buy scrapbooking supplies. I thought Jarir Bookstore would sell something but they have nothing??

Parked my car on the road in front of Jarir bookstore and when I returned, saw the yellow parking violation sticker on my window. Didn't see any no parking sign, but well...
My first traffic ticket, now I'm a full pledged member of Doha driver's club..... ; )
Anybody knows how much is the fine for such violation ?

Jarir Bookstore. Rubbish customer service
By Must_try_harder on Tue, 17/11/2009 - 12:16pmI purchased a DELL laptop from Jarir bookstore (QR2900) about 3 weeks ago for my daughters Birthday. She opened it a couple of days ago (on her Birthday) and it will not start/boot. I returned it to the store last night to have it replaced and they WILL NOT replace it. Instead, they said they will repair it. My view is that as it has not even been taken from the box it should be replaced. They say, because I have had it for more than 3 days they will only repair it. I explained it was not my daughters Birthday until now...? What nonsense is this? I spoke to the manager who would not move away from the 'company policy'. May as well have been talking to an empty suit! Is it normal for the shops in this country to treat the customer with as much contempt as they can muster.
A Qatari lady driving a 2-door slick car!
By heero_yuy2 on Tue, 20/10/2009 - 10:36pmWhile I was walking home after work (I stupidly left my money and made me walk from American Hospital to my place at Al Nasr), I passed by Jarir Bookstore and saw one Qatari lady on her casual abaya clothing singlehandedly driving a Mercedes 2-door SL500 while looking for a parking space!
It was a weird feeling. She was driving it alone without any companion beside her. Things came into my mind like "I wonder how she drives it on main roads" stuff like that...
...but hey! She swells, baby! :-)

Nung Huwebes ng gabi, sinilip namin yung bagong accomodation naming lilipatan. Medyo gabi na kami umuwi, kaya naisipan naming kumain na lang sa labas.
Napadpad kami sa Cetro Royale, sa may tapat ng Jarir Bookstore, and to our surprise mayroon silang live band, much more the music is being played by our friend and fellow Filex member Lusanchez and sung by no other than Andieannie :)
So if you want to hear nice music while having dinner, just drop by and visit our friends (i think its every thursday night)
