Cougar Cruise?
By Olive on Tue, 08/12/2009 - 10:59amSexually-charged 'cougar cruise' sets sail out of San Diego
A bit of naughtiness hits the high seas today as what's billed as the first "cougar cruise" sets sail out of San Diego.
The controversial three-night escapade, which we first wrote about in September, is taking place on the Carnival Elation and is aimed at older woman who pursue younger men -- or "cougars," in contemporary lingo.
Ft Hd Shooter Tied to Mosque of 9/11Hijackers
By AirForce1 on Mon, 09/11/2009 - 9:10amNEW YORK — The family of the alleged Fort Hood shooter held his mother's funeral at the same Virginia mosque that two Sept. 11 hijackers attended in 2001, at a time when a radical imam preached there.
Whether the Fort Hood shooter associated with the hijackers is something the FBI will probably look into, according to a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.
The family of Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the Army psychiatrist who killed 13 and wounded 29 at the Texas military base, held his mother's funeral at the Dar al Hijrah Islamic Center in Falls Church, Va., on May 31, 2001, according to her obituary in the Roanoke Times newspaper.
Couple sues Walmart after pedophilia charge
By Gypsy on Sun, 27/09/2009 - 10:12amArizona parents sue over kids' bath pictures
(AP) – Sep 17, 2009
PHOENIX — An Arizona couple accused of sexual abuse after taking bath-time photos of their children and then trying to have them developed at Walmart are suing the state and the retail giant.
Lisa and Anthony "A.J." Demaree's three young daughters were taken away by Arizona Child Protective Services last fall when a Walmart employee found partially nude pictures of the girls on a camera memory stick taken to the store for processing, according to the suit.
The Peoria couple's attorney said Walmart turned the photos over to police and the Demarees were not allowed to see their children for several days and didn't regain custody for a month while the state investigated.
Finally a legit reason for breast implants
By ntropy on Tue, 25/08/2009 - 9:45amBUENA PARK, California - Like so many things in Hollywood, Ryan Jenkins' life was not as it seemed.
The wealthy and handsome son of a well-known Canadian architect had recently finished taping appearances on two reality shows when he checked into a luxury oceanside hotel on Aug. 13 in sun-splashed San Diego with a former model in tow.
Less than 48 hours later, the woman was dead and Jenkins had gone from a sweet-talking, suave contestant on VH1's "Megan Wants a Millionaire" to the prime suspect in a gruesome - and mysterious - murder.

a giant squid "yummy" lolz
By rockduke on Wed, 15/07/2009 - 7:48amSAN DIEGO - Dozens of giant squid washed ashore over the weekend after an earthquake struck offshore from La Jolla.
The magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck at 7:34 a.m. Saturday and was centered 19 miles west of La Jolla in the ocean. Residents said the rattling lasted 15 to 20 seconds, but there were no reports of injuries or damage, according to the San Diego Fire Department. The temblor was felt throughout the county, and residents are used to getting jolted by earthquakes. But what happened next was more unusual. Dozens of Humboldt squid, three to four feet long and weighing close to 40 pounds, began showing up on La Jolla Shores beach, lifeguards reported.

SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- A Canadian-born man has been charged in Mexico in connection with a child pornography ring that authorities say operated throughout Canada, the U.S. and Mexico.
Arthur Leland Sayler was arrested Monday in Tijuana, where police said they seized 15 hard drives during a raid on a beachfront house he has occupied for the past 20 years.
Mexican authorities told XETV in San Diego the hard drives contain more than 4 million images and videos of children involved in sex acts, and that they consider Sayler one of the most dangerous pedophiles in the world.

Well, miracle is a subjective term I guess. When I see a disease cured by a nontoxic remedy that is so small no one can find it, and when the selection of that remedy comes through a tested and systematic approach to selection, and when that same disease is typically treated by toxic doses of drugs with known side effects, then yes, that experience goes into my miracles file.
Movie Review - Sideways
By baldrick2dogs on Thu, 14/05/2009 - 7:46pmIMDB.com says:
"Miles is a failed writer living a meager existence in San Diego as an English teacher. With his career seemingly fading and the fate of a book hinging on a publisher's decision, Miles is depressed with himself and what he hasn't achieved. Jack is a television actor whom some recognize but not many do, as if he were a minor actor who got a taste of success. With his best friend Miles, the two embark on a road trip through California's wine country. Miles wants to give his friend a nice sendoff before married life, while Jack simply wants to have a fling beforehand. As they're both nearing middle age with not much to show for it, the two will explore the vineyards while ultimately searching for their identities. "
