Kudos sa bagong Phil. Ambassador: Hon. Crescente Relacion

We went this morning to Philippines Embassy for the passport processing of my son and I am impressed for the improvements (1) New entrance- di na sa likod ng villa, (2) Additional service tables pagpasok mo ng embassy- di kailangan pumila sa iisang window (3) Mabilis na pagprocess ng papers- pagkabayad ko ng fee, diretso agad sa loob to verify the name of my baby, (4) while waiting napansin ko rin staffs are very courteous in answering phone calls. In less than an hour natapos na processing…Kudos to our new Amba and the Phil Embassy staffs, sana po tuloy tuloy ang pagbabago sa ikabubuti ng lahat…

Contract - Direct Hiring Requirements PH

Hi guys I'm back again for more question. Here it goes, I already finish the processing for my visa and received my sticker in my passport. Now, the requirements for POEA as follows:
1.Contract verify / authenticate by Philippine Embassy
2.Passport with Qatar Embassy Sticker
3. Visa copy

Here is my Question, I ask my employer to send my contract and they did but not verified by Philippines Embassy. I told then to have this contract to be verified. After 2 days they contact me and they said that I should have to take medical examination and finger printing on Qatar before they can authenticate my contract. How is this possible I'm still in Philippines. What are the procedure for verification / authenticate of my contract via direct hire? please help

Filipino workers in Saudi face lash for 'imitating women'

Sixty-seven Filipino men working in Saudi Arabia face jail and lashes for "imitating women" after being arrested at a party in which a number were dressed in drag, a Philippines embassy official said Saturday.

Riyadh police arrested all 67 men at a private party and drag show in a resort villa near Riyadh on June 13, Philippines embassy Vice Consul Roussel Reyes told AFP.

"They had alcohol and some were dressed up like women," he said. Both drinking and cross-dressing are forbidden under Saudi Arabia's conservative Islam-based sharia laws, and both could bring up to six months in prison and lashes.

None were charged with homosexual acts, a much more serious charge under Saudi law, Reyes said.
