Indians 8th best in world to look at

Updated on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, 10:56 IST

London: India has landed the eight spot in a new list of 20 best looking nations, which concluded that Americans are the most attractive looking people in the world.

The United States topped the poll more than 5,000 globe-trotting Britons, reports The Telegraph.

Second place was grabbed by Brazil while Spain was third.

Australia came fourth, Italy fifth.

Sexy Swedes helped the nation into sixth spot, and England made it into seventh place in the poll.

India was eighth, France ninth, and Canada finished off the top 10.

A spokeswoman for www.OnePoll.com, which carried out the UK study, said: America has got a lot on offer and boasts some of the sexiest people on the planet.

Why does Mosaic repeat so many programmes?

Having had Mosaic for 7 months now I have seen every single programme shown on National Geographic and the Science and History channels. Qtel rotate the programmes endlessly, and are now re-repeating repeats of repeats of repeats etc etc.

Their selection of BBC and Granada programmes is abysmal - old soaps that are repeated over and over, and the same programme schedule (eg Weakest Link and Casualty / Holby City) every day.

I have not managed to find a single new programme - ever.

What I Wont Miss

I'm about to leave the UK in 4 weeks having got a job in Qatar in Jan.. I can honestly say i cannot wait to get the hell outta the UK.

I have read alot of posts on QL about how bad things can be in Doha/Qatar.. But, being a Brit from Manchester i can honestly say the UK is shat!!

Bad weather, high taxes (ON EVERYTHING),Economy completely fooked, country is being run by clowns, Can't open the paper or watch the news without seeing some poor guy been killed by a gang of youths not even old enough to start shaving!

Can't get an appointment at the docs, no dentists ever available, can't even send a bleeding letter lately what with the mail being on strike!

Anyone got any sparklers?

I don't know if anyone other that Brits will know or even care, that tonight is Guy Fawkes night AKA Bonfire Night or Firework Night. For any non Brits curious take a look at http://en.wikipedia....

So anyway what I was wondering is, does anyone do anything Bonfire or Fireworkish here in Qatar? Or is this one of those easy to forget events once you are away from the UK?

Calling all Brits (and other ALE drinkers)

Any of you out there like me enjoy a pint of ALE over lager??
QDC are apparently not selling ale as fast as they would like. Surely I cannot be the only one who would enjoy and increased range of proper beer?
CAMRA in Qatar?
