Time is like a river . . .

You cannot touch the same water twice, because the flow has passed and will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life.

- For those who are already 45, start practicing..

- For those almost 45, get ready.

- For those where 50 is a long way off, help your parents do it.

For Those Over 50 Years Old :

1. Focus on enjoying people, not on indulging in or accumulating material things.

2. Plan to spend whatever you have saved.
You deserve to enjoy it and the healthy years you have left..
Travel if you can afford it. Don't leave anything for your children or loved ones to quarrel about. By leaving too much, you may even cause more trouble when you are gone.

Heartwarmer - Baby survives fall from train..

Not everyting in the world is doom and gloom...

A baby delivered in a train lavatory has survived tumbling down through the bottom of the carriage and onto the tracks.

Passengers on the West Bengal Tata-Chapra Express raised the alarm when they saw Rinku Debi Ray, 28, jump from the speeding carriage in what they believed was a suicide attempt.

Mrs Ray later explained she had been travelling to her parents home in Bihar, where she was planning to deliver her second child, with her husband Bhola and their four-year-old daughter, when she felt sharp pains in her abdomen.

Inner Peace

If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can get going without pep pills,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can resist treating a rich friend better than a poor friend,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,

ARE YOU 40 or over??????

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR THOSE OVER FORTY YEARS OLD (or to those who are going to “where life begins..”)

1. Focus on enjoying people,
not on indulging in or accumulating material things.

2. Plan to spend whatever you have saved.
You deserve to enjoy it and the few healthy years you
have left. Travel if you can afford it.
Don't leave anything for your children or loved ones to
quarrel about. By leaving anything, you
may even cause more trouble when you are gone.

3. Live in the here and now, not in the yesterdays and tomorrows.
It is only today that you can handle. Yesterday is gone,
tomorrow may not even happen..

4. Enjoy your grandchildren (if you are blessed with any)
but don't be their full time baby sitter. You have no moral

NEVER GIVE UP ON THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE...

"A VERY GOOD STORY THAT TOUCHES EVERYONES HEART"

A Boy Singing to his little sister.....
You are My Sunshine, My only Sunshine'
(Be prepared to get watery eyes!)

Like any good mother, when Karen found out that another baby was on the

way, she did what she could to help her 3-year-old son, Michael, prepare
for a new sibling.

They found out that the new baby was going be a girl, and day after day,

night after night, Michael sang to his sister in mommy's tummy.

He was building a bond of love with his little sister before he even met her.

The pregnancy progressed normally for Karen, an active member of the

Panther Creek United Methodist Church in Morristown , Tennessee

In time, the labor pains came. Soon it was every five minutes, every

A note to QL Members

I joined QL exactly fifteen days back. Just wanted to take a moment to thank each one of you for making these fifteen days memorable. I have 1096 points which means I posted as many times on other's threads or started my own. Truly amazing given the fact that I have not stayed with any forum , except one , for more than a week. I get bored easily and run of topics to read or post on. QL has changed that and has kept me busy. I have been logged in for a average of 8 hours including weekends.

I learnt more about Doha and the world more than I could have hoped for. Learnt about different cultures, mindsets, pleasures, pains and the art of writing poems on the run.

Spiritual Meaning of Fasting

Fasting is another unique moral and spiritual characteristic of Islam. Here is an explanation of the spiritual meaning of the Islamic Fasting:

1- It teaches man the principle of sincere Love: because when he observes Fasting he does it out of deep love for God. And the man who loves God truly is a man who really knows what love is.

2- It equips man with a creative sense of hope and an optimistic outlook on life; because when he fasts he is hoping to please God and is seeking His Grace.

3- It imbues in man the genuine virtue of effective devotion, honest dedication and closeness to God; because when he fasts he does so for God and for His sake alone.

Father: 'They were all my world... How can I go on?

"Nathan, 5, and Chelsea, 7, died last week of suspected food poisoning after eating a take-away meal ordered from a restaurant in Al Ghusais."

Dubai: "Why did this happen to my children?" Patrick D'Souza asks, his voice cracking at the cherished memories of little Nathan and Chelsea. "They were all my world, now they're gone. How can I go on?"

It's been 12 days since the D'Souza family's hellish nightmare began, and it started with a phone call placed to the Lotus Garden in Al Ghusais for Chinese food.

Never did the family realise then that for five-year-old Nathan and seven-year-old Chelsea, it would be their last supper.
