Shock in store

Staff and customers at a toy shop had the shock of their life when a car smashed into the store on the Gulf Street yesterday evening. The driver was slightly injured.

Al Waab Signal to be closed for work

'Al Waab Signal … ‘temporary closure’'

The Al Waab Signal will be partially closed for one week from today, Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said yesterday.
The closure is in order to complete road work, it said.
Motorists coming from Sadd Signal towards Al Waab will have to turn right at the Lakhwiya round-about and then turn left, followed by another right turn, to come back on the Al Waab Street.
Those coming from Bustan Street towards Al Waab will go straight past the Lakhwiya round-about, turn left and then right to enter Al Waab Street, the Authority said.
