e-governance portal
Infocomm firms keen to plug into e-govt
By nicaq25 on Sat, 04/07/2009 - 7:21amTo whoever is planning to do business in the Middle East, my advice would be ‘start with Qatar’. The country has an amazing vision for the future and that vision is supported by ample liquidity,” an infocomm company executive said in Singapore last week.
At a networking luncheon organised by the Infocomm Development Authority Singapore (IDA) on the sidelines of an ICT exhibition, he said Qatar’s investment in the ICT infrastructure would make it easier for the country to gauge upgrades in technology to strengthen its e-governance initiatives.
A number of Singaporean firms have already done successful projects in Qatar.
NCS, which made its Middle East foray three years ago, has assisted Qatar in setting up the e-governance portal and shape the Hukoomi initiative.
