TEHRAN – Pakistan’s former chief of army staff, General Mirza Aslam Beg (ret.), has said the U.S. private security company Blackwater was directly involved in the assassinations of former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto and former Lebanese prime minister Rafik Hariri.
Blackwater later changed its name and is now known as Xe.

what do you think?
By malpaso on Wed, 26/08/2009 - 8:27pmU.S. President Barack Obama acknowledged Tuesday that officials in the administration of his predecessor, George W. Bush, could potentially face prosecution for writing legal memos authorizing the CIA to use harsh interrogation methods on terrorism suspects.
Speaking for the first time since ordering the release of the secret legal briefs last week, Obama said the United States lost its "moral bearings" with use of the controversial tactics, which have been widely condemned by human rights groups and legal observers as torture.
With the release of the memos, the president ruled out prosecuting CIA officials who performed the harsh interrogations, provided they followed the guidelines set by government superiors who held that such practices were legal at the time.
Did Dick Cheney order Benazir's death?
By Winn on Wed, 20/05/2009 - 11:38amAn 'executive assassination ring', answerable only to former US Vice President Dick Cheney, played a role in the death of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, noted American investigative journalist Seymour Hersh has alleged.
In a May 12 interview with Gulf News TV, Hersh claimed that Cheney ordered the hit on Bhutto because in a November 2007 interview with Al Jazeera TV, she had indicated that Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden [Images] was already dead.
Supersized greed
By skdkak on Tue, 07/04/2009 - 11:47amWashington: You know you’re in trouble when Old Europe chastises you for being too socialist. But, hey, nobody’s perfect — except maybe Michelle Obama, who landed in London with a huge Obama entourage, wearing a daffodil yellow dress and looking like a confident ray of USA sunshine.
Pakistan nuclear scientist 'free'
By Xray on Sat, 07/02/2009 - 7:19pmA court in Pakistan has freed disgraced nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan from house arrest.
Dr Khan, who has been under tight restrictions since 2004, can now leave home and receive visitors.
Dr Khan welcomed the ruling and said he was not bothered what the international community thought of his release.
The US has described the move as "unfortunate", with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton saying she was "very much concerned" by Dr Khan's release.
Dr Khan admitted transferring nuclear secrets to other countries in 2004 but was later pardoned by former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
The US has repeatedly said it wants to question Dr Khan, but Pakistan has always refused access.

The President's Puzzle
Dick Cheney walks into the Oval Office and sees The President whooping and hollering.
"What's the matter, Mr. President?" The Vice President inquired.
"Nothing at all, boss. I just done finished a jigsaw puzzle in record time!" The President beamed.
"How long did it take you?"
"Well, the box said '3 to 5 Years' but I did it in a month!"
