Another attack leaves .......................
By AirForce1 on Sat, 07/11/2009 - 5:36pmAs word spread that a gunman had opened fire at Fort Hood leaving a trail of carnage, a chilling realization swept across the U.S. Muslim community: He has an Islamic name.
From a professor who just testified in Congress, to a White House adviser appearing before a Jewish group and a former Marine driving home from work, Muslims across the country were shocked, angry and afraid that the attack would erode efforts to erase anti-Islamic stereotypes.
Many Islamic leaders said the Fort Hood tragedy that left 13 dead and 30 wounded including the alleged gunman, Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, could likely post the sternest test for U.S. Muslims since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Why Pampanga mayors want GMA to run for Congress

Patriotism is long lost gone in the hearts of most Filipinos.

The Dilemma of Accounting in Filipino
By Don Robert on Mon, 02/11/2009 - 8:07amACCOUNTANTS (Pagtutuos), TAKE NOTE!!!
A Bill filed by Sen. Lito Lapid asks that proposed laws should be written in Filipino (Pilipino). Likewise, the official spoken language in the Senate should be Filipino. But I doubt this Bill will see the light of day. Read on to know why.
Ang Paggamit ng Wikang Pilipino
A young, good-looking representative from Laguna sponsored a Bill recommending the Filipino language be used in all levels of accounting firms and banking institutions. The solon claimed it will provide a better understanding of the business transactions for those who are inexperienced and non-English speaking citizens.
Ano ba talaga ang kulay ni Chiz Escudero?
By leo_nardo on Sun, 01/11/2009 - 12:09pmI agree with Patricia Evangelista’s reading of Chiz.

“I am leaving my party because I believe that in this way I can achieve what I am to do and the role I am meant to fulfill with regard to the elections, at this time, at this minute, not as a member of any party, not as a partner to anyone, but only myself, as myself.” -Chiz Escudero
In a follow-up interview with TV Patrol’s Ted Failon, asked on what occasion his party has unfairly dictated his actions and choices, Escudero denied he can be dictated to.

Nation's premier church battles abortion in front yard

For the Catholic hierarchy, it must be a dreaded case of the barbarians finally reaching its gates.
Two years ago, at the bidding of Cardinal Gaudencio Rosales, Monsignor Jose Clemente Ignacio became rector of the Church of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, home of the miraculous 400-year-old statue of the kneeling Christ that is the object of frenzied adulation by millions.
To head what the Cardinal calls “the premier church of the Philippines" is an esteemed post any man of the cloth would be eager to assume—except the plaza outside the Quiapo Church also happens to be the abortion capital of Metro Manila.
Obama quietly signs $7.5bn Pakistan aid bill
By Barq on Fri, 16/10/2009 - 11:53amObama quietly signs $7.5bn Pakistan aid bill
Reuters/Washington
US President Barack Obama quietly signed yesterday a $7.5bn aid bill for Pakistan that drew criticism in the nuclear-armed South Asian country because of conditions linked to the funds.
Obama signed the bill behind closed doors at the White House without a public ceremony before leaving on a trip to New Orleans. The law provides $7.5bn in non-military assistance to Pakistan over five years.
Pakistan’s military had complained because the legislation ties some funds to fighting militants and is seen by critics as violating sovereignty.

"The H1N1 vaccination program, when put into the same frame as the engineered virus to go with it, appears to be a clear effort to divide humanity into two groups; those who have lost their intellect, health and sexuality via a tainted vaccination, and those who have not and are therefore superior."
