ictQATAR issues Telecommunications Executive

The Supreme Council of Information and Communications Technology (ictQATAR) today announced the issuing of the Telecommunications Executive By-Law No. (1) of 2009, published in the Qatari Official Gazette and effective from 26 July 2009.

The Telecommunications Executive By-Law includes regulatory procedures, rules and instructions that must be followed by telecommunications service providers in Qatar, including licensees such as Qatar Telecom (QTel) QSC and Vodafone Qatar QSC.

Mobile Broadband

Mobile broadband is the name used to describe various types of wireless high-speed internet access through a portable modem, telephone or other device such as a PC data card, USB modem, USB sticks, dongles, phones with data modems and other portable devices with built-in support for Mobile Broadband.
Various network standards may be used to do this, such as GPRS, 3G, WiMAX, LTE UMTS/HSPA, EV-DO and some portable satellite-based systems.

Mobile broadband allows you to connect to the world wide web wherever you are, regardless of whether you are in a Wi-Fi hotspot or near a phone line.

Agony with q-tel

Batelling with q-tel for months without respite:

No action until now for following incomplete services:

1. Unsecured ADSL network.
2. e-qtel not set right
3. Nojoom not set right.

How long will i keep writing to q-tel, in this busy world, your 111 number takes up more than 2 hours to get connected and when it is connected, we feel like dropping the phone because of disturbed voice, the whole staff keeps talking and moving the chairs, which is disturbing the whole speech.
Will atleast now somebody look into my problem.
