The ratings of Lakas-Kampi-CMD presidential candidate Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. are expected to shore up further with the ever-growing support of the youth sector, more intelligent voters, and the party’s formidable political machinery, campaign spokesman Mike Toledo said Monday.

In the latest survey of the Campaign and Images, Teodoro has already overtaken Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III from the No. 2 slot.

“Ano ang nasa dako pa roon. Bunga ng malikot na pag-iisip. Likha ng balintataw o halaw sa isang daigdig ng kababalaghan. ‘Di kayang ipaliwanag ngunit alam mong magaganap.”

Kung pamilyar ka sa mga linyang ito, isa lang ang ibig sabihin n’yan. Repent! Repent! Wala nang makapipigil pa sa iyong patuloy na pagtanda!

Villar still refuses to attend the Senate to face questions, and it only reminds me of how GMA used the privilege of her office to avoid questioning. What will happen if Villar wins and more corruption scandals surface?

For the first time since he declared his presidential bid last December, Gilberto Teodoro Jr. has breached the double-digit popularity rating in a massive survey conducted by independent pollster Campaign and Images.

The Harvard-educated Teodoro chalked up 24 percent, threatening to overtake Nacionalista Party standard-bearer Senator Manuel Villar, who came on top with a 31 percent rating in the survey.

CONCEPCION, Tarlac – Liberal Party standard bearer Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III on Tuesday accused Sen. Manuel Villar, of using too much money in his campaign and forming an "unholy alliance" with the Arroyo administration.

"Alam niyo naman po, mapera yung kalaban ko. Magsasama-sama ang pwersa ng kadiliman," he told a crowd of about a thousand people at the Concepcion public market.

Ice cream vendor Jeff Garcia, 37, one of the faces in the crowd, said he would vote for Aquino not only because they hail from the same province but because of his strong conviction against graft and corruption.

"Maganda ang layunin niya sa kapwa," he said, adding that the public money that will be saved from corruption is enough to cause economic recovery.

Sen. Manuel “Manny” Villar Jr.’s camp remains unfazed by the latest charges filed against him, his wife and sons, on alleged land-grabbing in relation to the highly controversial C-5 road extension project.
The Nacionalista Party (NP) standard bearer, speaking through his counsel, Nalen Galang, does not consider the filing of a plunder case against him before the Office of the Ombudsman a major setback in his candidacy.
They expressed confidence that the issue will eventually be disposed of by the Ombudsman with impartiality.

Tit for tat, by way of charges and countercharges between two presidential bets.

With the Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Sen. Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino accused by the Nacionalista Party (NP) of having benefited from the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway, along with his late mother exempting the family’s hacienda from land reform, as well as his family’s refusal to give Hacienda Luisita workers their share of the land and share of the profits, the LP yesterday dropped a bombshell against NP presidential bet Sen. Manuel “Manny” Villar as being involved in yet another land and road scam, this time not in Metro Manila but in Iloilo province.

Can Noynoy Aquino’s numbers go down? Can he be affected by the black propaganda or smear jobs against him? Can the other candidates narrow the gap and make the big push on E-Day?

Those are the questions people are asking. Indeed not just Noynoy’s opponents but his own supporters, the first in anticipation, the second in trepidation. My own answer to it is this: Depends on how it affects what’s giving him those numbers.

At ito ay opisyal n pinahayag ni Noynoy n sya ay tatakbong Presidente sa 2010.... hhmm nice.
