what does RAND wants?
By genesis on Thu, 15/10/2009 - 5:43pmAn exclusive interview with Qatar University president Dr. Sheikha Al-Misnad to Al-Arab newspaper have created a new controversy among many local bloggers & newspaper columnists. Many speculation is flowing about the role of that RAND corporation plays on the recent Qatar university reforms. Many locals have outspoken about QU reforms and some considered it as an attempt to westernize the local eduction!!!
Dr Almisnad responded in her interview "
The presence of opponents of the reforms is expected , and they need time to understand the change and accept it"
What i don't really get, why are many locals against any sort of reform?Is there really a hidden agenda about the RAND initiative?
